Well, good news is as of last night that's no a problem...and as a total coincidence, I appear to be moving tomorrow. The bad news, alas, I live in Houston and refuse to commute anywhere just to get laid.

I did notice one very, very, VERY female trait to your original message, though- you didn't mention your age, which means you're over 25. I had a little bit of fun trying to guess based on what you've written- my conclusion was that you were in my age neighborhood (35) or a little older, but not by more than five years. I'm picky about age- I adore older women. Also like the French, I appreciate the finer things in life. Well, and women around my age, they're really clever and cool and eminantly "congress-able". Uhm, well, and 19 year old cheerleader types. Ok so I'm a bit of a whore. I just love women.

------

Oh, and "StarGirl"? You ruttin' BET. Amen sister, with bells on. I'll email you when I get home from work around six. My ph# is going to change tomorrow, I'll send the new ones.

Well...who saw that coming? Sorry for the loss but hey, since you call it good news, I'll just grin and wink atcha.

Ha! Nice pick-up! However, I'm 29 -- yes, for the first time -- as of last week. I think I was born too late, though. I always seem to get along with folks in your age group and older. Weird, huh?

Quote:

Aww. Well, there went my indefinable charm. I suppose I'll just have to settle for being lusted over instead of adored.

...

I can live with that.

Poor DaveShayne! He probably has THE WORST opinion of me now! Waaah!

I can't lie, I deserved it. And I pushed for it- I'm always shocked how long women will hold on after men have clearly let go. You know, I promise I'm going to change my evil ways one of these days. One of these days.

Ah, the sweet spot, which is from 26 to 32. Young enough for Original Sin lust, but clever and articulate enough so that the universal male urge to duct tape the younger girl's mouth and keep her tied up in the closet until she's needed isn't overwhelming.

Why would you want to do that? Half of your charm is that you're brutally honest about yourself, even if what you're being honest about isn't terribly flattering or honorable. Don't change, man.

Especially not for a girl.

If nothing else, this is an interesting view on the diversity of the group.
Most of the browncoats i know are males (with a handful of the ladies) and all in their early twenties... then my father, and all in texas.
I thought my group of browncoats was cool because we have a lot of ethnicities and even have one ParaOlympian (archery).
but this is amazing.

one thing though. I am totally unfamilar with the acronyms. BBW, SMSM? what?

Wash: Yeah, but psychic? That sounds like science fiction.
Zoë: You live on a spaceship, dear.
Wash: So?

oh, I wasn't suggesting it was an affectation.

To be honest, couldn't spot an affectation if it slapped me on the ass.

(I have a hard enough time sorting out where my own, um, 'individual' style of tongue wagging comes from - trust me, take a cab ride with me, less than five minutes in the cabbie will ask 'so where do you come from then?' - and I'll be damned if I know)

So just keep on writin'

And no, she doesn't torture kittens, she just gambles at poker with them.

I'm like that as well. True story many yeasr bakc I was working in a stock room with a couple of guys who had just moved up from Mississippi. Now for those who don't know the M'sip accent is very deep and somewhat dificult for those not of the region to understand. Now we had all hired in at about the same time so being low on the totem pole we wound up doing a lot of the same work asignments nobedy else wanted. So over the months they were gradually losing their accent and I was I kid you not gaining it.

I think I meant that she gambles the kittens (was gunna say stakes the kittens, but um, eew...) I a highly random reference to Spike's game of choice in Buffy, but ne'ermind.

I do that, I absorb accents, one or other cabbie has called me Australian, American (I blame Joss) Canadian and South African(!?!?!?!) I just come out with it, randomly - leaned over a bannister and yelled something in almost unintelligble yorshire once, repeated it almost exactly, but as soon as they told me what I was doing, could not reproduce it. Factor in the early 19th cent. phraseology that works its way in. And the slang absorbed from a hundred different people and not to mention T.V. shows and, well, i'm a delight to listen to i'm sure.

I need to stop talking, I feel like i've gone into a speed dating curcuit and started singing the macarena down a megaphone or something.

This is me shutting up.

You're probably right Seryn.
But something like cat-juggling is too volatile to keep a lid on.

Don't worry, I have plenty more games where those came from!

I guarantee that "The Jerk" and especially "Dirty Rotten Scoundrels" are worth the watch. After that, ditch Steve Martin like a bad tunafish sandwich! (Can anyone tell, I've got nothing better to do today! :))

SWM, 28 years old from Central Florida. Wash personality with a little Mal mixed in. We're all special in our own way, but I tend to be special in the head... lol. I'm looking for a River/Kaylee mix. A beautiful mind and fun personality. A hot woman wouldn't hurt either, but I like to be able to carry on a conversation when I have something to say. Must be a Firefly fan and a total geek. Glasses are sexy and big eyes are a must.

Until a year and a half ago I was from central Florida.

But I don't wear glasses and I'm not a total geek. I'm mostly nerdy. But I have big eyes!

An I carried such a torch

So, I am a former GT (Gifted and Talented... so more like simon) student who is absolutely hilarious....

So, come to these forums often? *wink wink
We're BOTH PILOTS!!!

Wash: Yeah, but psychic? That sounds like science fiction.
Zoë: You live on a spaceship, dear.
Wash: So?

GUTTERBALL

Gorram the work thing that takes time out of my fan-boarding! What...does my boss think I have nothing else to do besides show up on time and actually WORK??

As for kittens, I'll see your tabby and raise you a Siamese and two hairless Rex. And if you're VERY lucky, I'll juggle them for you when you realize I'm bluffing and call me on it.

Mostly because I have Simon's facility with the opposite sex. It's only a matter of time before I say something unutterably nasty and you all storm off in a perfectly valid huff. I'm kinda shocked it hasn't happened yet.

D, honey, I think you've been hanging around women who are entirely too sensitive. I mean, here I'm offering you a free thrust and I don't even KNOW you. You seem fine to me, verbal-banter-wise.

*laughs* And no, that's not a thrust out the airlock. Unless that's your thing...I suppose it's negotiable...but I really don't want to see how fast the blood will boil out my ears, delightful description or no.

Call me crazy, but I'd like to find out I'm dead long after I'm supposed to have felt it.

Aww, that is a shame. Where are you off to?

*looks at the Jayne icon* I bet you do think of yourself as a lion.

Neat thread. What the heck... I'll play...

SF, 22, SW Ontario (Canada), politics student, likes Firefly (big shock, I know), most sci-fi, reading, movies, stuff... (writing this is harder than I thought it would be ). Kind of a shy Kaylee-type, or a not crazy River,
who is looking for a Simon-y, Wash-ish, Mal-like kind of guy.

Well it's nice of you to say. And hey it's been a long time since I've put myself out so maybe I've gotten better by not practicing. :)

There ya go! It's a shiny new day and all that!

...

Of course, I'm easily amused, so you might still try to talk shiny to any girlies you meet in person. Heh. Just in case.

*bows* I try. That little philosophy is right up there with "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

You can fool some of the people all of the time and all of the people some of the time and that's enough to build a marketing plan arround.

And that is why I refuse to buy anything with a stupid commercial. Or anything terribly girlie.

Or PINK.

...

Sorry. Tangent.

Slightly north of Fairbanks. Wicked hockey here too. When you visit your friend at UAF we'll have to get together and take over one of the outdoor rinks!

BLACKEYEDGIRL

SWF, 26 Northern WI (but travels to Milwaukee area often and with a curiosity of Minneapolis)), Zoe's strength, Inara's wiles, River's untampered brains and Kaylee's skillz, seeks Mal with Wash's humor and a little bit of Jayne's insanity, with Simon's brain and a bit of Book's mystery. Likes Sci-Fi, science actual, TV, is very liberal and funny.
