I was just reading a leaflet for the Universal Studios park. After looking at all the rides that had been made round about films i got thinking, how cool would it be to see a Firefly film ride. Anyone got any ideas what a Firefly film ride should be like??

I know what I would choose. And the sign in front would read:

"You must be THIS tall to ride in Inara's shuttle."

How about it start out really cool with lasers and lights and stuff. Then it all goes black except a FOX logo and there's an unexpected drop. Then the Ballad of Serenity is played while the ride lifts its passangers to new and unexpected heights.

I certainly wouldn't mind a full Serenity lifesize model that several people could inhabit at a time and interact with certain areas of the ship. Perhaps when you go up to the cockpit it would apear you are actually in space.

I agree that the shiniest 'ride' would simply be a tour of the actual set of Serenity. Especially because that would mean that the set had to be reconstructed for the movie (and the subsequent return as a weekly television series!!!)

Even better 9 people could be let in at a time and given roles to play in a senario, possibly a gun fight on Serenity with actors boarding ship trying to take everyone out.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

A life size Serenity to tour would be cool, especially if you could interact with it. A gunfight scenario would be very shiny.

A ride would be cool if it was in a mock up of the cockpit. It could be appear you were in space, evading an Alliance cruiser, or trying to get away from a Reaver ship.

I was thinking of a more whimsical sort of ride. Something like the mad hatter's tea cup, called "Kaylee's Strawberry".

My Firefly ride:

You stand in line for an hour or two, tension building the whole time. This is the best ride ever. Telivison monitors display the actors introducing their characters and there is a full scale wax Joss (so I can kiss his wax feet) then when you get to the ride, you strap in, the MONSTER screen flickers to life, your little char rumbels abit, you see serenity floating there on screen, and an alliance cruiser drifts by, aswell as two reaver ships drift into view, close in to serenity, Mal, Zoe, and Jayne are unconcious, Wash is chocking on gas in his room. Kaylee is tied up in the engine room, book is unconcious on the floor of his room, and river is in the landing bay, looking at a corner, where you can see something moving in the shadows.... Then the screen goes blank, then reads: "We at Fox have decided that Firefly has failed to preform. As of now the series, and this ride are canceled. Thanks for comming!".

the end

I'd accept seeing the F*x logo only if it were being obliterated by the lasers...(even better if the Serenity was shooting the lasers at the logo, but we know it has no weapons)

Then, triumpant music plays when the Universal Logo appears on the screen...
