It's actually not changes to the Firefly Universe forum area. Rather, it's a whole new section on the website for the sole purpose of RPing online. There's going to be a Gamemaster page and a player page. The Gamemaster page will have tools for the Gamemaster to organize the game currently in play--who is in the game, their locations, their current acctions, etc.. There will be a world builder where the gamemaster can layout out all the locations of game and the paths that connect them. The players, on the other hand, will have a player screen with information on their current location with exits and entry paths to other locations and things like that. There's probably going to be some sort of info screen with other players currently in the game and their locations. On my drawingboard right now, this thing will probably be some hybrid between WEBRPG and MUD, except no AI--just lots of tools for the Gamemaster to handle and manage all interactions with players. I'm bascially creating something that'll allow people to play traditional RPG online based on the Firefly universe. I don't know if this has been attempted by other websites, but I think it's pretty cool to at least give it a try.
