How ever on the BBC site, there is a poll going on.
Currently Serenity has: 19.78%
and Star Wars has: 42.66%

So we need to get voting on the BBC site!

Y'know, all this 'multiple voting' has given us Browncoats a bad reputation in the fan community.

Whatever happened to "one vote per person"?

People would lose interest in them fast if they couldn't stay involved. I'm sure other fandoms mass vote their shows as well.

I vote to improve the exposure of FF/BDM. Hopefully a few folk have rented/bought FF/BDM based on its exposure in the TV_Vote.

I don't think it's possible to have a worse reputation than the multiple voting other fandoms.

I'm not disagreeing with your point about playing fair... I'm just sayin'. I'm also not sure that the point is playin' fair. For either the site asking us to vote or the voters from each fandom.

I think we're all voting for exposure and because we're loyal to the things we love.

There's fair proof that this did get us exposure!
There's a thread on here re: a morning show being aware of this vote and Serenity's win.
There are folks who will read this poll and the article and think that they might like to check out the upstart movie that beat Star Wars. Perhaps they will even guess that there were rabid fans voting that may have influenced the outcome.
Maybe they'll be intrigued. I would be. I'd want to know what engendered such loyalty. Besides, ultimately they've been given a gift, IMHO. They'll discover Serenity, then Firefly. They'll never be the same whether it touches them enough to join us here and other sites and hope with us, or it just leaves a lasting impression of our little spaceship and crew who can deliver a whopping good story!

Mutlipule voting???????????

You can only Vote once on the BBC site when using the same IP, so in order to vote again you would need to use many different IP addresses.

I voted once, and I was simply saying maybe others should vote aswell!!

Agreed. Some of the other boards I go to use Browncoat as a bad word, due to our overzealousness from time to time.

I voted, but just the once.

I think that mass voting shows how comitted fans are, i wouldn't do it for anything other than a show that truely deserved recognition and i thought others should see, so i think its still proof of just how good the 'verse is.

Too right But I do think asinle vote sistem, so every one can only vote once Gives a better Idea of the Fan base but multi voting gives a distorted view

How come things never go smooth

I've just been reading the feedback on SFX and what I see is this. Yes, there are people posting to say that the Browncoats have squewed the results, but there are more people saying that, despite that, people should go out and rent or buy Firefly and Serenity because they are good sci-fi and worth seeing. If that's not good publicity.....

I may have a bad memory, but I coulda sworn you could only vote once on the original SFX poll. Was it the same one that was added to Flyvote? It would be extremely ironic if it turns out that we didn't "stuff the ballot box" on that one. On the other hand, you can vote as much as you want on the BBC poll, and look who's winning now. Does anyone remember voting more than once on the SFX poll? Just curious.

Vote for Firefly at http://richlabonte.net/tvvote/index.html

But we are a little obsessive.

Hell, I thought people that got this obsessive about something had a screw or two loose. And then came firefly and the injustice of no more firefly. And now I'm one of those people.

The thing is, with firefly, with Serenity, I think we have damn good reason to be. If it gets more people to see it, it's all for the good.

It'll be hard to stick to the one vote thing though: To be moral or to be publicising firefly?
