I was just checking for some other info over on IMDB. Just out of curiousity, I tried searching Serenity.

Low and behold...

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0379786/maindetails

They've finally got some decently up to date info.

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Shiny!

June 4th? Shiny!

This was updated March 4. But they removed the list of actors.

Now, there is no cast listed, and we are still waiting for them to catch up.

Also, where the hell is Wash and Book?

Good questions 'Tash.

Anyone know when shooting for "I, Robot" ends. That could be what is holding up Alan. Not sure what is delaying Ron signing.

Considering I, Robot comes out this summer, they'd really better be finished shooting already. They could have a few reshoots, but nothing major. They're probably just waiting until the options on a previous contract expire.

Just like when we were waiting for news about the movie, no news is good news.

Now if we could just get Greg Dean Schmitz, over at http://movies.yahoo.com/upcoming/, to follow the same script....

Which is, of course, the time when all the actors involved in the movie will be at their busiest - pushing the movie. Travelling around giving interviews and what not...

Ooh, good point! I hadn't really thought of that.

Well, after the IMDB removed the list of actors - now they're back! Book and Wash are still missing.

Umm. They don't have Jewel Staite listed. Hopefully just oversight since I thought she was mentioned in the press release. (yup, just re-checked).

I'm psyched to see a lot of the people from Firefly are also back for Serenity. (according to IMDB)

Greg Edmonson (original music)
David Boyd (cinematography)
Carey Meyer (production design)
David Koneff (set decoration)
Jill Ohanneson and Shawna Trpcic (costume design)
Loni Peristere (visual effects supervisor)
Nick Brandon (stunt coordinator)

Looks like a family reunion on the production side!! The only differences so far are the producers.

I shaved off my beard for you, devil woman!

IMDB is not an official site. Anyone who registers with them can edit info. It's a good resource, but not somewhere you go for confirmation on something.

IMDB used to say that Tim Curry was going to star on "Buffy" as Uther, the First Vampire; and that Joss Whedon directed an episode of "Boy Meets World" (he's commented on that rumor, saying that he's never even seen the show).

I just added Jewel Staite. The message said it could take a few days for approval.

TALONPEST

I'm just curious what makes Serenity any more "incredibly mobile" than any other spaceship. It doesn't seem so incredible to me, at least in a science fiction context.

Also, WTF is with the "If you like this, you might also like Star Trek First Contact" crap?
