Morena Baccarin said that the Firefly movie would start filming in June and that you would get more back story on Inara and Book. She also said that as far as she knows everyone is back for the movie.

It's AICN, so I wouldn't hold my breath on accuracy. Anyone here who actually went to the con and can confirm what Morena said?

With shooting starting in early June, I'm assuming the cast should've gotten a look at at least some script fragments around now, for a table read or somesuch. Of course, I might be completely wrong; procedure's different for everyone, and I'm not sure what Joss' style is as far as the kind of pace he's willing to take when not working in a television timeframe.

Still, if it's true, WOOT! to the news on Book's past getting a bit of a feature.

Now, here's hoping the cast members themselves have been right about Book even being in the feature, as there's still no official word. Believe me, actors are generally the last to know what's going on in any medium.

Very true. AICN sometimes posts rumors up which seldom matches fact.

Hopefully someone here went to the con & can confirm what was said by Morena.

According to posts at the OB by Adam Baldwin, he was rereading the script for the second or third time back in March, so the script has long since been in the cast's hands.

I do hope that Joss has the chance to shed a bit more light on Inara's and Book's pasts in the movie. It could also work as a hook to get the uninitiated to buy the DVD set and push for a return to TV.
