Hi!

Just bought a DVD copy of Firefly over here in the UK - what a beautiful show! Excellent in every regard.

I've been a big fan of Buffy and Angel for years now (although frustrated at their poor scheduling over here) but this is just awesome! I totally share the feeling of anger/frustration that everyone seems to feel that this show was so prematurely cut off in it's prime. It's also a sense that no one seems to be listening to us, the viewers, and what we want to see. It's just the same in the UK, folks!

I wish there were some way of letting Josh know how much he is loved and appreciated for the work he does and how much it means to people. I hope he does know and that the crappy way he's been treated by the TV industry is no reflection of the audience's feelings.

I'll be spreading the news though and trying to get as many people as possible to buy a copy of the DVD.

Not looking forward to that last ep. in the boxset!

You can't take the sky from me...

Oddly enough Ive just discovered Firefly here in the UK. Im the opposite I never liked Buffy, Angel etc but as far as Sci Fi goes this was definitiley the best thing out of the US in years. Ive been passing the DVD round my mates and getting converts by the score. C'mon GReat British public you saved 'Baywatch' & 'Home & Away' from extinction and those were really bad now help get something good back on air!

Don't forget how we saved louis and clark too !! I still think that made grounds for a civil war but ...

I'm another that found Firefly by watching the DVD I do admit I watch some downloads when it was first shown in the US and just couldn't get into it, but then in a slightly drunken state decided to buy the DVD and loved it - I'm watching the train job at the moment.

Does anyone know of a UK based store/supplier I can get clothing similar to the show ?

Hey guys,

nice to see UK fans, i didn't really see much advertising on the series here, but i strolled through virgin and there it was glimmering under those sweaty lamps.... i didn't hesistate :D nice to hear you're converting more friends, Firefly would've been awsome here if only they let the series run (in order ). Heck i bet the BBC would've shown it to the masses.
As for the clothing issue...i've got no idea
Thankfully Joss working on the film i for one will try and grab as many random people off the streets and make them see it. Better get used to those iron bars and porridge then

:D

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the boards Portia, Budgie, & Wizzler. Nice to have some more UK fans onboard w/ us. Glad to see that Firefly is as big a hit there as it is here in the US.

Convert your friends and family. Convince them to buy the DVD set. The more successful the DVD set, the more leverage Joss has for a return to television after the movie next year.

Sounds like a plan Wizzler. Convert as many as you can. With the movie coming out in 2005 we need to fill as many seats as we can.

I'm planning on hiring the whole screen for opening night, my local cinema, if they show it, cause the managment will have a heart attack thinking they'll have more than half a screen booked, if not then a few rows will do. It'll be my birthday present :) hey 27 ain't too old to have a cinema party is it ?

Static, one of the regulars here, lives in North Carolina. He is kicking around the idea of a big premiere party prior to the movie, then all of us going to a booked local theatre for the viewing. Should be a lot of fun if everything works out.

I've been hunting around for somewhere that prints T-Shirts etc, if you can get the logos and pictures for them you can get them here... http://www.tshirtstudio.com ...It's a UK supplier so you shouldn't have to worry about shipping costs.

Just got a Blue Sun shirt from there!!

It's fantastic, whenever I wear it everyone asks who Blue Sun is... All I do is lend them my copy of Firefly (Gets a few easy converts to the show!). Kinda cunning don't ya think!

Jayne:> Don't know these folk and don't much care to neither...
Mal:> They're whores.
Jayne:> I'm in!
