Yah, had to get that out ok, on to the subject, hope nobodys hit the back button on their browser yet...

From what I understand is, Universal is making a movie out of Firefly, dubbed Serenity. Now this is old news to you folks but I have a question.

If the movie does well, will Universal take on the series? Or will everybody go "Oh hey that was nice" and totally ditch this awesome creation?

We need to make sure that this movie does well and is a major hit. We need to flood the people at Universal and let them know what needs to be done! What can we do? We're not powerless, let's get something accomplished!

i think Fox still owns the rights to the series, and they arent gonna let go of that anytime soon

Universal got the rights but FOX only wanted to let it go if they didn't make a series out of it for the next 10 years... (I dont know why other then them being selfish sobs).

However if the movies does well enough there is gonna be a trilogy. Well enough basically means it has to earn it's money back.
