I'm not sure if there is a full tab floating around there or not, I couldn't find one. Anyways, let me know what you think:

I used the chords from Joss' version on the Firefly DVD. If you want to match it up with the actual theme song, use a capo on the 3rd fret.

Opening Riff:

E||--------------------|
B||--------------------|
G||--------------------|
D||--------------------|
A||----------0--3h0----|
E||------0h3--------3--|

A
Take my love
G
Take my land
D A E
Take me where I cannot stand
C
I don't care
G
I'm still free
D A E
You can't take the sky from me

Take me out
To the black
Tell 'em I ain't coming back
Burn the land
And boil the sea
You can't take the sky from me

Bridge:
G D C

Have no place
I can be
Since I found Serenity

Joss' Ending:
C G D A
But you can't take the sky from me Oh-oh
G D C A

Show Ending:
C G
But you can't take the sky from me
C A

BREDASONG

ooooh! now I need to pull out my autoharp and give it a try (no autoharp jokes aloud!)

Serenity doesn't always mean peace of mind.

Thanks for that. I've been singing the song all day long for some reason. Driving myself crazy. I started making up words as I go along (burn my toast, boil my tea, you can't take this pie from me, etc.) Maybe if I play it, I'll get it out of my head, for the time being.

hehe... I find myself doing that as well--singing the song with different lyrics.

This forum didn't preserve the original formatting of the tab, to align the chord changes with the words as they're supposed to go... but I figure it's pretty intuitive.

INEVITABLEBETRAYAL

There was a thread on this a LONG time ago (e.g. a couple of years). Here's the tab:

E-----------------------
B-----------------------
G-----------------------
D----------0--3p0-------
A-----0h3---------------
D-----------------3'p0--

(the tick mark there is a slight bend)

Then I fingerpick and/or strum chords:

[ D ] Take my love, [D/C] take my land, [ G ] take me where I [ D ] cannot [ Am ] stand...
[ F ] I don't care, [ C ] I'm still free, [ G ] you can't take the [ D ] sky from [ Am ] me...

[ D ] Take me out [ D/C ] to the black, [ G ] tell them I ain't [ D ] comin' [ Am ] back...
[ F ] Burn the land, [ C ] boil the sea, [ G ] you can't take the [ D ] sky from [ Am ] me...

A second guitar or fiddle can solo while you play [ F ], [ C ], [ G ]

[ D ] Have no place [ D/C ] I can be [ G ] since I found Se [ D ] reni [ Am ] ty...
[ F ] You can't take the [ C ] sky from me... [ D ]

D: 000232
D/C: 03023x or 030230
G: x20033 or 020033
Am: x02210
F: x33211 or (if your ring finger's flexible) 333211
C: x32010

Note that you need to retune the guitar to a dropped D tuning. Can be a slight pain in the ass, but it sounds fantastic.

Does this mean at Serenity2 that you will be busking in the bar? becuase for an encore you can sign the ballad of Jayne (The Hero of Canton)

Darin (Zol.)

the chords are simple enough. If I wasn't so lazy, I probably could have figured it out myself. One day we'll all have to get our guitars out and have a sing-a-long. Wouldn't that be shiny?
