I've seen several auctions already that the seller offers to send the confirmation print out to you for you to pick up the tickets at the box office.

My experience so far has been that I need to present the credit card used in the online purchase to get my tickets. Certainly thats what Fandango says is required.

Has anyone else been able to get their tickets just w/ the confirmation page?

I'm really worried about fellow Browncoats getting the short end of the stick from one of these guys......

The buyer may in fact be screwed. What they need to do is hook up with the buyer at the theater.

We needed our credit card as well.

I really wouldn't buy from scalpers unless they've picked up the tickets and are selling the actual tickets... and even then, I'd be real reluctant to buy from scalpers.

I understand what it's like to miss out on the movie, though.

Doesn't the seller need to swipe their CC at the theater to pick up the tickets?

I smell shenanigans.

After watching a greedy individual purchase 20 tickets to scalp on eBay (oh yes, he will be going to that special hell), I decided that it was high time to spread some goodwill. So, I'm giving away six tickets (3 sets of 2) to the June 23rd Indianapolis, IN screening.

Just follow this link to enter:

Pass on the Goodwill. Best of luck. Keep Flying!

This appears to vary by ticket vendor and perhaps theater. I went to the Portland 5/26 showing with just a confirmation print out from Fandango and got tickets without a credit card. Movietickets.com does not appear to allow this, and other Fandango theaters may not as well.

hmm but it is possible then depending on the theatre...

I guess there's not much that can be done about it - but if you are considering buying via Ebay please call the theatre first to see what is allowable!

I am very much hoping (in vain, perhaps) that no one who calls her/himself a Browncoat will support these unscrupulous scalpers by buying tickets from them for anything more than what was originally paid for them.

I would love to see scalpers outside the theaters having to keep lowering their prices because no one will buy their ill-got gains.

And yes, they will be going to that *special* hell.
