Does Serenity The Comic Spoil The Movie?

I was afraid to pick up the comic because I don't want any spoilers. But now I'm hearing it bridges the gap between Firefly and Serenity, so which is it?

It bridges the gap so obviously it presents some information that you wouldn't know if you went directly from the series to the movie but nothing too spoilerly.

At least as far as we know, issue 3 hasn't been released yet!

Definitely do. I made the mistake of passing on it because I was afraid of spoilers. I spent the better part of a week tracking down a copy.
