just writing my first post here, although i've been watching the site for well over a year now. i was simply wondering how many canadian, or better yet (seeing as it's a little closer to home) albertans or calgarians are on this site. much as i'd love to get to meet all the fans at a convention, i'm just never going to get paid enough at what i do to travel the way i'd like to. :)

thank you, good to know there's a few of us out here somewhere! i'm always mentioning our show, but not many people i talk to have even heard of it usually, so it's a real uphill battle finding "smart" people like us... :)

Yeah, I know what you mean. Anyway, on the Canadian Browncoats yahoogroup, http://www.yahoogroups.com/group/canadianbrowncoats I think a few Calgarians are in the process of organizing a shindig, so if you're interested might be a chance to meet fellow fans in your area.

Is it bad that I'm a Canadian who's going to attend the premier in a (southern) U.S. state?

hell no! we'll go and see it wherever we are, just as i always call wherever my kit bag is, home, we still always know where we are really at home. if i were still in ontario, or if i were posted overseas, i'd still be seeing this movie!

Oh no!

Tray, you just missed a shindig.

Our Calgary members just had one the day you posted (Aug. 13).

Hopefully you can make it to the next one.

For other Canadians, there are shindigs happening in Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Edmonton ...

Our group link to join is below. We have 344 members now across Canada. AND, we are mentioned in the new spot for Serenity being shown in theatres called "Inside Serenity".

NESS

Hey Tray. I'm a fellow Browncoat from the area. In fact, I helped to organize the shindig that happened August 13th. Too bad you weren't in town when it happened, but there's going to be something planned for September 30th. I don't know what yet, but we know for sure we're seeing a movie that day. Check out the Canadian Browncoats website and group when you get the time. There's also a forum for shindigs so check it out every once and awhile for info.

I'm nessie2134 over at the group if you join and I hope to see you at a future shindig.

no problem ness, i've already joined. i'll take the time to introduce myself properly soon, we have a couple big tests and inspections on the go right now though, so it may (or may not) be a day or two before i can sit down and play with my computer for awhile. :)
