Finally we have possibly the biggest-name film critic speak out about Serenity... and he's in our corner (some of his comments did cheese me off a little, but three out of four stars gives me the warm fuzzies).

Oh, we are *so* mighty.

Does Blue Sun sponser the Blue Man Group?

I love it. Especially:

Quote:

What a crock, especially considering that Joss Whedon, the TV series' author (and writer-director of "Serenity"), earlier created "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer," and so deserved the benefit of the doubt.

He may not be a firefly fan but he does sound like quite a Whedon fan.

I can see why he gave it 3 stars, he is right in supposing that this movie probably wont appeal to people who don't like science fiction or space opera.

That's us Browncoats!!!

Glad that Ebert liked it, but I still don't like movie critics

May have been on the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Oh, FFS! That article has a spoiler SO MINOR, it won't affect your enjoyment of the movie.

Spoilers were what some inconsiderate people did in the 'Versal boards right after the first screening - thread titles such as (and these are fake spoilers), "Damn you, Joss! Why did you have to make River out of chocolate?" and "Sign my petition for Joss to reconsider River's Chocolatiness" and "I think I understand why Jayne left Serenity to become a NASCAR driver." Those spoilers will take the air outta you like you wouldn't believe...

MAL: If anyone gets nosy, just, you know... shoot 'em.
ZOE: Shoot 'em?
MAL: Politely.

I beg to differ. Fortunately, I went to a matinee showing and saw the movie before reading this review. While I agree that it probably wouldn't have kept me from enjoying the movie, I have to say that knowing a major part of the plotline (what the Alliance did that they didn't want anyone knowing about) would have seriously impacted the WAY in which I watched it and I don't think I'd have enjoyed it quite as much. Not knowing what to expect made being taken along for the ride a far better experience.
