The suggestion to write SCI FI is a good one, provided y'all don't just go to SCIFI.COM and find any e-mail address you can and send e to that addy. I'm speaking as the editor of SCI FI Wire, one of the e addys you'll encounter. I have nothing to do with SCI FI Channel's programming decisions and hate getting spam from well-meaning fans, though I count myself as a Browncoat as well. Just a word to the wise. FWIW, you're best served sending actual snail mail to SCI FI at this address:
21st Floor
30 Rockefeller Plaza
New York, NY 10112

In case you didn't get that before, it's:

Another possible idea is a fax campaign to the same company, though that could get really irritating.

What we need is to show them that not only are we a serious fanbase, but also that this is something that we would like them to do, not something we're going to demand from them. I would suggest sending in a hand-written letter. If you're good at fan art, send that too...maybe a thank you card for airing the series they have in order. Fill their mailbox with honest pleas from devoted fans and not a boring form letter, and it's likely that they'll move on it.

I remember one case involving a friend of mine casting for a movie. A girl sent in her headshot in a hand-made envelope with the address drawn in crayon with a big picture around it and a hand-written letter inside. The film was never made, but she was instrumental in the process of...erm...well, I guess you could say "selling" it. I have no idea how to communicate the sheer silliness of Hollywood in words.

Anyway, I'm blabbering, the idea is to SHOW YOUR LOVE. If you want, write fan letters to Joss, Nathan, Jewel, send them to Sci-Fi. The more interest they see, the more likely they are to move on it. Plus a cool picture for a marketing guy to hang in his office is guaranteed to get points :)
