XEROGRAVITY

How many people electrified by the movie, aware, semi-aware, or totally newly turned on by the TV show will be left? I wonder what the traffic level will be like. Will the steady stream of repeat posts slow down then cease? Nothing like reading the 10th thread this week of "I'm new to Firefly and..". When so, how many dedicated fans will be left?

When the roar is dimmed to a dull hiss how many dedicated fans will be left?

I kind of look forward to that day since Haken's forums are taxed to the limit (or were) and the site is just (or was) exploding.

How many will follow thru with dedication? How many actually saw the DVDs of the show per the movie (before, after, regardless)?

No such thing as gravity. The "Earth-that-was" just sucks.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I fully believe that the fanbase will continue to grow in the future. The movie and the subsequent release on DVD before Christmas will continue to bring in new fans as more & more people take the time to discover the 'verse.

We will continue to see threads expressing opinions & reactions to the BDM throughout the winter & into spring as the film hits Europe & Asia. They may drop in frequency, but there will still be browncoats, old & new alike, that are looking to discuss the BDM.

After the BDM hits DVD we will have the deleted scenes, commentary, and extras to discuss.

Face it XeroGravity, the fanbase is not going anywhere & I anticipate it will continue to grow. Things might slow a bit as fervor over the movie winds down, but I expect traffic to remain high.

If the fanbase will continue to explode and as a result end up here on fff.net, Haken is going to really need a lot better and new equipment. Sorry Haken, but the crap that you are running on, the heap of rubber, plastic, silicone, and aluminum you call hardware is 4 years old - you need new stuff. As a fan, I am more than willing to continue to contribute to make sure that fff.net is hosted on good new hardware that won't melt "tomorrow"!

Given the freedom to do so, anarchy will result in an organic organization unto itself.
