Hi all.

I'm sure this has been discussed throught various different threads, but I was wondering:

Has Joss completely and adamantly said that there will never be a Serenity/Firefly TV movie or mini-series - or just that he wouldn't do a full regular show again?

I know he's brought up Buffy and Angel TV movies before, but doesn't seem like anything has come of that so far.

Meanwhile, movie total including international and that $3 mill buy the other day has brought us up to $32 million. Not bad, considering cost of $39.5, and there's certainly more to come.

Neither Joss nor the actors have ruled out anything. However, Joss has stated in interviews that he thinks a TV revival is highly unlikely.

But sometimes unlikely things do happen.

But sometimes they don't.

Ain't about you, Jayne. It's about what they need.

Does that buy actually count into the totals that will determine whether we get sequels or not? It would be cool if it did . . .

I would also love to see a miniseries or tv movie, but that probably falls under the "10 year" clause that Fox laid down when they sold the rights to Universal for Serenity. It would be teh coolness if they could get around that and make a tv movie or a miniseries maybe. I would love that.

I would much rather that Firefly was brought back before there was a T.V movie or a Serenity sequel.Fox brought back Family Guy because of DVD sales and I heard that the Firefly DVD sales are going quite well better then expected. Also I think that every one should go see Serenity and buy Firefly on DVD that way there could be an even better chance of a show revival!!Hell I,m going to the theater right now to see Serenity again!

From what I've heard and read, I think a revival of a Firefly series on TV is just not in the cards.

But I'd love to have SOMETHING before the next movie - assuming there is one - which is at the earliest years away. The occasional TV movie would be better than nothing, from my perspective.

That being said, if a network (SciFi?) would do a SPIN-OFF series (someone mentioned the concept on another thread) - well, I wouldn't mind that at all!

hmmmm a spinoff would'nt be so bad either or a series of firefly before River and Simon.
