I'm a new poster (Firefly Fan since it first came out though). I had the opportinty to see Alan Tudyk in Spamalot last week and I must comment that he was quite excellent. I expected to be bowled over that it was "Wash" on stage but it actually took me nearly 10 minutes to realize it was him! Excellent throughout the show - especially as Tim the Enchanter and the Knight who says "Ni!". He looked thoroughly exhasted at the end. He is in hats or chainmail for most of the show and was visibly "melting" during the company bow. Got quite a nice ovation as well (mostly lead by my husband!)

I have some friends who saw him on Broadway in 'Spamalot'...they said he was great too, and got me and autograph at the stage door after the show...

probably having his hair brown made him a little less Wash-esque....

I think I didn't recognize him because his charaters were so unlike Wash - except for a "to be or not be " parody. Guess that it just a mark of a good actor!
