I was sitting here with my shiney hat ( yes you know your a firefly fan when you get a shiney hat for your birthday)... anywase I was just sitting and thinking about for the most part how much tv really does suck today.

So here is my question. In your peoples oppinion what do you think our chances of new firefly epps getting made are? or are we fighting a hopeless fight?

Dear diary, Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy,
Today we where kidnapped my hill folk never to be seen again, it was the best day ever.

Don't worry Dundee, my birthday was yesterday and all my presents were declared 'shiney'. I think with fox debuting shows in the summer, them admitting they screwed up, there is a good chance still of at least the unaired episodes to be shown during the summer. they paid for them after all, they would want to at least try and recoup the costs once.

SUCCATASH

Well, by god, should that day come, we need to find the f#@$ Nielsen Box testers and treat 'em like Jayne would.

I'm not sure what that means. I'm drunk, wondering where I should buy my next TV, car, computer, and clothes. I wish Firefly was on the air because their commercials really made me want to buy things.

FIREFLYPASSENGER

Joss loves the show. Tim loves the show. The cast has said it was a great place to work. Joss & Co. know we love the show and Fox admittedly mishandled the show, to put it mildly.
Firefly is great. I belive we have a very good chance. I believe in Joss.

May Serenity keep flying.

"I WANT TO BELIEVE"

Yeah thats basically my point at this time. Ever since the show was chacelled we triede everything to geht it back again and we failed, we failed again and again. Nonetheless the crew kept us trying with slogans like "it aint over thill its over" (guess that shows us that they know how we do like keylee () and the rest of serenitys crew ). As far as i know the most part of americas tv stations have passed an FF so the only hope is for us Fox to start the show in summer (which i personnaly do not really believe, even i really want to) I also considered writing to some german stations, maybe they could continue FF, which is quite utopien coz they usually dont have these amounts of money, but it is still worth a try. Even my greatest wish (right after worldpeace 'n stuff) would be to see FF being continued i am not sure this wish would come true.

Peace

I am also feeling remarkably upbeat on the future of this show - maybe it is because I have just seen a whole lot of episodes that I had never seen before, and have been wowed beyond measure!
It would be a crime to let this one disappear.

Call me a mindless optimist, but there just might be a chance that Firefly could gain a new lease on life with a series of TV movies. Didja hear Kenneth Johnson's reportedly gotten tapped to do yet another V follow-up as either a miniseries or a TV movie?
Consider the Alien Nation follow-up TV-movies. Alien Nation was dead...then it wasn't. At least, it lasted for another 3 2-hour TV-movies.
The Sci-Fi Channel seems willing to spend serious scudi on the Dune miniseries -- might some other network spend some bucks on Firefly miniseries or TV movies?
Stranger thnigs have happened...

Or Babylon 5. Admittedly, I've seen very little of the series, but every couple of years I'm surprised to hear about yet another movie based on it. Unfortunately, Firefly didn't get anywhere near a complete run like B5, making it less likely.

you know all this start-screw-up story and the chacelation reminds me of star trek TOS. We all know what emerged from this low-budget series about some dudes runnin around in funky-coloured clothes;) but st had a great boost couple 'o decades ago. When armstrong touched the moon everybody got mad on Enterprise, unfortunately there is nothing like the moon landing to hype FF so maybe im just to pessimistic but there is a great chance for the show never to come back on screen again. As far as i got the picture SciFi-Chan has been trying to kill all old-school scifi for quite a time. Best example bab5, there were couple of eps based on B5 - call to arms, and some other eps based on legends of the rangers. Both of them were cut off by scifi....

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

I know that I too find myself feeling hopeful that the show will somehow get back on the air. After reading the interview w/ Joss and seeing how passionate he is about the show, it is hard not to feel hope he will have Serenity flying again soon.
