just curious, but with no aliens to consult, I'm wondering how everybody sees Book's belief system? Have people aglommerated all current religions, or are there a bunch of new ones, or what?

He's Christian of the good old fashioned kind as far as I can see. The Bible River was "revising" seemed to have the standard ideas a Christian Bible would have. "Abbeys" tend to suggest that he's Catholic but it's possible that in 500 years the various divisions within Christianity have healed.

There is the suggestion the Buddism is by far the most prominent religion in the 'Verse by now so I think Christianity is a choice by Book. Christianity is about sin and redemption, Book certainly seems to have sinned in his past and his religion gives him a path to redemption.

Fletch- Good, yeah, that's pretty much how I see it. And mebbe more religious folks away from the core; thinking of the 'cult' Rvier & Simon ran afoul of.
