Grr! Arrgh!

See below post. It seems this is a error.

Carmike Gateway 4
(Carmike) 1203 Free Nancy Rd., Statesville, NC 28677, 704-873-5569

For the longest time, there was no showtimes on imdb and everyday I just would click past and check the Moviemeter on Serenity, Slither and the STARmeter on Nathan Fillion.

For other screenings and information about arranging June 23, 2006 (Joss's birthday) charity screenings of Serenity see
http://www.cantstoptheserenity.com/

Error also showed up on
http://www.mrmovietimes.com/movies/Serenity.html?zip=97214&distance=10
000+miles&limit=No+limit

MISBEHAVIN

It is really amazing - even for a second-run theater - that they're showing Serenity for a week! The other movies at the theater this weekend were released much later than Serenity: Big Momma's House 2, The Chronicles of Narnia, Curious George. Does anyone know how this feat was accomplished? Is the theater manager a flan, much like the nearly-famous Ben of Bryn Mawr PA? Did a group of browncoats prevail upon the management with promises or threats?

500 miles doesn't seem like all that far to drive for a good movie, and I'm sorely tempted to make the trip.

Like Mal, it's a mystery.

Got any of those Carmike theaters closer to you?

Maybe Serenity can go to a Carmike theater nearer you after it is done in Statesville, NC.
I wonder if they mail the film or someone drives it around.

CORRECTION: The Carmike Gateway 4 in Statesville, NC is *not* showing Serenity. The theater's recorded message at 704-873-5569, garbled as it was, gave times for Syriana. I also called the theater at 704-873-5574 and the manager confirmed this and apologized for the mistake in the online listings.

Sorry for relaying the bad news, Anonymous1. We're just going to have to hold a little while longer until Mal gets back.

Anonymous1, could you please link me to where that can be done... I'm not very experienced navigating IMDB. Thank you.

The Moviemeter and Starmeter show up when you subscribe to imdb.com and click on IMDbPro Professional Details on a movie or actors page. I ended up subscribing to imdb.com sometime last year.

Here are some links to stuff on imdb.com

Link for Serenity US map:
http://imdb.com/title/tt0379786/cinemashowtimes?location=map

Serenity http://imdb.com/title/tt0379786

Nathan's page http://imdb.com/name/nm0277213
You can click on any of the movie/tv show links and jump to that page.

For example clicking on Slither's link
goes to http://imdb.com/title/tt0439815
