Hi
I recently (3 weeks ago) watched Serenity one day when I stayed home from work because I was ill. It just so happened to be on demand so I figured I’d give it a shot. I wanted to see it at the theater anyway but never got around to it. Needless to say I was very sorry I didn‘t. I immediately fell in love with the 'verse. that day I ended up watching it 5 times. Wow! A week later I bought the Firefly & Serenity DVDs. I haven’t stopped watching. I’m very upset that I missed out on all this a few years ago, however I’m very thrilled that I discovered it!

I am most certainly going to do my part to keep the 'verse going and also am very excited about joining this site so I can discuss / celebrate a show/movie that I am completely enthralled by. thank you.

On another thread I asked if anyone were up to swiping an Alliance cruiser, as someone had mentioned that our little rust-bucket was getting a mite small. No volunteers yet, however.

FollowMal is probably waiting for a new shipment of virtual browncoats.
Pull up some of these strawberries and have a snack. More stuff on the buffet, even a new dish of the Captain's Evil Repeating Bean Dip and some reinforced chips to scoop it with.

Five watchings of the BDM in one day must be a record. Augh!
How did your eyes feel afterward? Aside from the weeping, I mean.

About the cat, if you give her a bad time she'll lurk and snag you, so we won't be chasing you -- no need to.

I cant believe there are still people just discovering Firefly. We've been here for what 4 or 5 years? It seems an eternity.

I feel like giving up on it but every time I read newbie posts I get all reinvigorrated(sp?) and the hope returns.

Hi BEANS! Welcome to the 'verse!! Glad that you've joined us!
Your being sick and catching and falling in love with Serenity like you did, is kind of the way I did too... though it was a Firefly marathon on Sci Fi Channel early January this year, I had a high fever and stayed home from work.. turned on the TV, flicked through talk shows and the usual dribble on the daytime tube, to stumble across the beginning of the Firefly marathon... a few minutes in and I was hooked. I watched another episode.. and another.. Bam. The funny thing is, I did catch a couple of episodes of the show when it was originally broadcasted, but it wasn't on consistently enough to watch and then it was gone. When I heard the hype about the movie I wanted to see it, but never made it to the movies..
Well, after this marathon, I was feeling a lot better, only to have an obsessive urge to buy the DVD set and movie!! It took several tries, since both were sold out when I was looking, and had to order Firefly online.. I bought the movie first and waited to watch it until the DVD set came.. I just had to see it all in order!
Anyway, that's my story...
Again, so glad that you're in the 'verse with all of us.. you're officially a browncoat now! Tell as many of your friends and share your DVDs! Oh yes, and have fun on this site!
