FRONTIERSMAN

Hi all,
I'm in the UK and as far as i am currently aware, (i'm pretty sure I'll be corrected if I'm wrong) it never aired on either satelite or terestrial tv over here, which, is a crying shame. I discovered this show by recomendation. Went out and brought the dvd with serenity too and have just finished watching them. There should be a law against what the net work did with this show. People of Fox tv are you mad? People at universal, MAKE A SECOND THIRD AND FORTH SEASON for frak's sake. the show blew me away, best new sci fi I've seen in years (ok so its a couple of years old now) but that doesn't matter! proud to be a brown coat...even if we did lose!

Hi frontiersman!

We didn't lose, not yet.
Remember, the Browncoats who came before us MANAGED TO GET A MOVIE FROM A CANCELLED SHOW.

We can manage to get our Big Damn Sequels.
Never lose hope!
Remember Mal in "Out of Gas".
We'll use all of our chances, here ;)

Hello, frontiersman, and welcome to our corner of the 'Verse.

Come on up to the galley and question the buffet. I've just put out a fresh bowl of strawberries, and Kaylee's cutting up mangos. Lots more there.

Oh, how I want more seasons (more bang for the buck!) and plan to join in the action on 6/23.

Spread your newly acquired infection. Lend out your disks. Hold a marathon at your house. Something.

BROWNCOAT1

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Welcome to the site & the fanbase Frontiersman! Glad to have you aboard!

We haven't lost, not by a long shot. We ain't heard no fat lady singing yet.

Be sure to spread the word about the series & especially the movie to everyone you know. You found it through a recommendation, so recommend it to every single person that you know.

Keep flyin'!

The entire series run has been shown at least 3 or 4 times in the correct order on the UK SciFi Channel (129/130 on Sky I believe). They even had a Firefly marathon weekend before Serenity was released, with little intro snippets from cast members before each episode. Really wish I'd taped those now...

Fairly quickly, too. The series was cancelled in late 2002 and the movie was set to open in April 2005 (until 'versal held it back for September).

Remember, it was 3 years between the premiere of the series and the premiere of the movie. And don't forget that it only took 1 year for us to get Fox to release the series on DVD. Also don't forget that we got a TV soundtrack released last year. So don't give up hope. It may take another few years, but we'll get our boat back in the air. She'll fly again.
