Ciao,

I have a huge trouble, I can't access to the site from my PC at home anymore!
I don't know why...I never had problems.
Everytime I type the URL address in the address bar and click go, for a few seconds nothing happens then the URL gets redirected to a Yahoo search (I have Yahoo set as my home page) and if I click on the search results, again, the sites pages don't load and I get the "can't find the page" kind of error. This has started happening right after the site has come back online two weeks ago.
I'm checking and writing from my PC at work right now.
Fireflyfans.net is the ONLY site I can't access to, no troubles with other sites.
My Pc at home still runs with Windows 98.
Here at work I have Windows XP.
I don't know, maybe this site now can't be displayed with older Windows versions???
I need some help to solve this trouble!
Please e-mail me at: ayrad@yahoo.com
(wont be able to read your replies here from home...)

Thanks a lots,
A very worried Italian Browncoat!
Darya

Maybe you could try the ip address of the site.

Tracert gives it as 168.215.229.9

It's worth a shot

In the address bar where you would normally type www.fireflyfans.net

You may have to 'reset' it's browser memory. Try it again, If you still get the 'site under construction' message, hold the shift key while hitting the 'reload' button.

Thanks again, unfortunately I'm still having troubles. Yesterday night when I typed the IP address I was able to access the site, but this morning I've got again the "cannot find server" error message!
On the keyboard what's the shift key?

You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

... The key that says "shift". Also known as the key that you hold down to make a letter capital and the like. I think it's the Firefox browser that reads things as new when you hold down the shift key. Might be some other browsers that do that, too.

Oh ok! I'll try that tonight!
I've got both Explorer and Firefox. Maybe
one of the two still has the older info...

Ayrad,

To clear the cache of your browser in Internet Exporer visit this page.

Or for other browsers try.

It may help but if the page cannot be accessed via the IP address there maybe other issues
