It's certainly not old news as the book isn't out yet. However the fact the book isn't out yet means that there really isn't a lot to say about the book itself. On the one hand there is a bit of a tendency for books using pop culture to explain philosophy to maybe miss the point a bit. Either by twisting the pop to fit the philosophy or bringing the philosophy to bear where it doesn't really apply. On the other hand Joss' series have delved in a number of instances into the existential ouvre so this might be a case where a more rigorous examination might prove enlitening.
