I was reading USA today because there were no copies of the New York Times, and I saw the article with the above title. In the article was a quote by FOX scheduling chief Preston Beckman, that stated:

"I don't see anything that's come out yet where you see, 'Boy, this is a game changer.'"

Does this make anyone else mad as hell?

Sounds about right to me. A few new shows are hits right off the bat. Others take time to build an audience. Sometimes they do, sometimes they dont. But the number of instant hits does seem to be small.

Was he referring to just this season? If so, I agree (though I haven't been watching all the new shows). There's no "buzz" I can detect at my work or among my friends.

Or did his comment cover a longer time, including 2002? If so, I've got a clue package for him...
