Although FOX is quite good at getting region 2 DVD's to us europeans (Futurama etc) there is no news of it being released here in the UK in the near future.

Best bet is to order it from amazon.com or amazon.ca and if you dont have a multi region DVD player for the sake of wathcing firefly in all is glory i would invest in one (£40 from selected high street shops)

Dear diary:-

If you've got a Playstation 2 you can buy DVD X which allows you to play DVDs from any region.

Or you can always outout to a TV with a videocard. You can get a GeForce2 with TV out for dirt cheap now.

I'm in North America but I'm waiting for the UK or Australian release of the Firefly sets. I find the image quality of Fox TV series releases in PAL by far superior to the NTSC releases.

If your DVD player can handle multiregion I'd suggest just buying the region 1 dvd.

An alternative to Amazon is www.dvdboxoffice.com (Canadian site I believe)

Firefly isn't listed yet, but they do free delivery to the UK, and as they deliver into the UK via another EU country I never seem to get hit by a customs charge. Amazon is probably quicker, but you pay for delivery and probably a customs charge.
