Alright, I think before we enter Season 5, I need some clearing up on a few points of the forth season. I've seen each episode of the season five or six times and am still stuck.

First of all, is Connor part demon? When he attacked Angelus, the Sanctuary spell prevented him from attacking. But in "Slouching" he killed a demon, saving Cordelia. How did this happen?

2) Would the real Cordy please stand up? So, the real Cordelia was only seen up until "Spin the Bottle" when Lorne's spell awoke Jasmine within her???? Is this amnesia girl the last we saw of Cordy?

3) IN "Inside Out" was that really Darla or possibly The First Evil as other fans have suggested? Was it The Powers That Be?

And were The Powers That Be helping Jasmine become corporeal? Is this Skip's behavior? Pylea? The prophecies? To Shanshu in LA?

4) And for the question that all of you will bawk at me for... Is Lorne Evil? Hold up. Let me explain:
First, Lorne was the one to send Angel to the trial's. this is the event that made Connor's birth possible. Then, 1 year later Lorne allows Wesley to take the baby and give it to Holtz so that Connor can become full grown in a matter of weeks. Skip ahead to this season: (4x04) Lorne read Cordy but was unwilling (or unable, if Lorne isn't evil) to tell Angel what he saw, and then allowed a VERY dangerous demon into the hotel for a reading (Note that Lorne's reading revealed that the demon's next attempted snack would be it's last). This is the demon that was responsible for Cordy moving in with Connor. 2 Episodes later (4x06), Lorne's spell is responsible for waking up the demon inside Cordy. In (4x07) Lorne went with everyone to fight the beast, but in (4x08) he stays behind with Cordy (possibly to plan?) (4x12) Lorne misreads Angelus, resulting in Angelus' freedom, which gives Cordy the opportunity to kill Lilah (we later learn that Cordy "put the whammy" on Lorne, but did she really?) (4x14) Lorne's spell prevents Conner from apprehending Angelus. (4x15) Lorne's spell is conveniently rendered ineffective, allowing Connor to attempt to kill the newly ensouled Angel All of this is circumstantial, or even pure coincidence, but as a whole it is making be start to wonder about where Lorne actually stands.

And I wonder, if Angel is so good because he's a vampire with a soul, then what about Lorne? He doesn't have a soul. Does he?

Sorry...I truly believe Lorne is the token good demon (still missing Doyle) on the show now. If Pylea was/is a bad place, remember that Lorne ran away from there of his own free will and doesn't want to go back. I don't think he's anymore evil than the rest of them there...he's capable of making mistakes, too.

You make an interesting case for Lorne being evil, but it raises the question, if Lorne was in on all this evil stuff, how come he didn't come out with Skip or Jasmine? No, I sincerely believe that Lorne is a good guy.

LivinGImpaired, the spell Cordelius aka Jasmine performed in Calvary blinded Lorne's aura abilities to release Angelus. Theya re not in caoots, but The Powers That Be may be saving him for some greater purpose, as The First was with Spike, yet never had the chance to. I hope the production team addresses theses Lorne issues.

Also, Lorne sent Angel to be killed by the Swami in Season 2.

*sigh* I love Lorne. They SO need to give him more to do.

I don't think he's evil. But if he was, do you think he'd get more screen time?

Book: “A duel?”
Wash: “With swords?”
Simon: “The Captain's a good fighter, he must know how to handle a sword?”
Zoe: “I think he knows which end to hold.”
