Oooooh - it's too good to be true!! Two of my favourite people in here with me at the same time!

I am good RIMG! Well... now that I have seen my 'Bear' I did the move on Saturday, and I almost have myself organised... It is warm today - not too hot though and we are about to start level 3 water restrictions in Melbourne as our reservoirs are below 40% capacity for the first time in my memory! That means we will not be allowed to water the garden except by hand (watering can or buckets) and I have a beautiful garden where I will be living for the next 6 weeks!

Yeah - I relate to Monday mornings, and the early 'wake up call' LA!! - the dog is confused about the family 'mysteriously vanishing' so he keeps checking that I am still alive and well several times from about 4 am on... and on Saturday I was babysitting until 2am, so I am sleep deprived and might not last too long - but I am so excited to see you both!

Water restrictions suck, especially when there is a garden that needs tending.

LOL @ the dog wondering about the family vanishing. Do you just have to hang out in the house for 6 weeks, and like keep it clean or something? Are there other animals besides the dog there?

You don't gotta stay up on our account, but every moment you're with us is certainly special.

Yeah - pretty much that is it RIMG - when I house sit there are slight variations in how people expect you to do it - but I generally take care of pets (there is an elderly cat as well - 16 years old and counting!!) water the garden in summer, turn lights on and off, open/close blinds, bring in the mail, move the cars in the driveway and turn the engines over once a week... things that give the house a lived in look, as well as keeping pets and gardens healthy and mail from overflowing!

Thank you for your sweet comments - I actually have some time off in the next couple of weeks so I hope to be around a heap more than this!! Soon!!

EDIT: Sorry all - I have to admit defeat and hit the sack - *ninja kiss qing ren* - good night RIMG & LA - it was such a treat to be in here with you!! Good morning and goodnight to all my other gorgeous friends! - Magda x x x

Morning, RIMG, LA, & Magda!

Whew, what a weekend! Almost glad to be sitting at my desk doing work. Well, almost.

It is amazingly warm here in MD - Supposed to be near 70 today. If I wanted Christmas in Florida I'd be in Disneyland right now. Where's the snow?

More coffee....yum.

( Go to sleep, Magda dear )

mornin' Mav.

You almost want to be there? That sounds like one hell of a weekend!

It's going to be in the mid- to upper-70s here in GA as well, which is no good at all for the week before xmas. *sigh*

I said Almost...

Mother in Law called me in a panic - she was hosting an open house for her Creative Memories (scrapbooking) clients on Saturday (expecting 75+ people throughout the day) and she got a call that her next door neighbor had passed away in the nursing home that morning( She was 94! )

Mother in Law has Power of Attorney, etc so it was up to her to take care of everything. Funeral home, cleaning out the nursing home room. Can you believe they wanted the possessions out within 4 hours of the death?

So guess who hosted the Open House? With 2 hours notice? Yours truly. Actually, it wasn't so bad, and my Mom in Law was grateful so I guess I made some good points with her.

EDIT: And I LOATHE scrapbooking but had to plaster a smile on my face and talk up the product. I made some good sales, too. Now if I see a cut of that...

Sounds like a hell of a day, but it also sounds like you handled it spectacularly, and who knows, maybe you will get a bit of a cut.
