I'm not much of a tv watcher.. so I never saw it when it aired(never even heard of it till now).. my son just told me about the show.. I've now watched all the episodes and i'm sorry that I missed it when it was on... I'm sorry that there were no more episodes made

It's a sure sign that if someone GETS the show that they will seek out other browncoats.And speaking of browncoats,someone soon will be here and give you a virtual browncoat of your very own.

So you say your son led you in this direction.Well have him come along with you. Not sure if you know but there is also a movie called "Serenity" that was made after the tv series was killed off.

Anyhoo, we're here to raise our voices and show the networks and movie ppl that there should be more FF/S. The story is not complete. Glad to have you aboard.

Yep, I just had the same experience in Feb. I'm not ashamed to admit I cried when I reached the end and realized there were no more (okay, I cried several times. Okay, okay, I wept capaciously multiple times.)

There are some great fan sites and a thread on this site which I can't remember but go to NewsOfTheVerse.net scroll down to fan sites and click the thread for new fans. Grayfury wrote a beautiful list of things to do. He included the links to the River Tam sessions (yes, River appears in some online shorts!) and to the unfilmed script (not fabulous but worth a read.) The fan sites listing on NewsOfTheVerse.net also includes a large amount of places where you can read fanfic (sometimes that helps ease the pain) and there are a lot of other great sites out there worth checking out.

The Blue Sun room here on FF.net has some of the best fiction and images (MPhillips just put up a beautiful Mal.) And the other posters here make you feel right at home so hopefully you'll feel a little less sad.

Check out and see if there are any Can't Stop The Serenity listings near you. They are going to be wonderful.

Hopefully, some of the things I suggested will make you feel better. Some of the older fans will be along to hand you the traditional virtual Browncoat and Mudder's Milk. Enjoy the verse. We're a nice bunch of folk.

Thank you for the welcome. I did find out that they made a movie after the series(found out on this site)I order it from netflix last night as well

I just can't believe that they did not make anymore..I thought it was good and they had some really funny lines and the characters I thought were great(with the exception of jayne who I wanted to slap a couple of times

Don't worry-it was originally aired out of order, in full-screen. Hardly anyone else watched it either-that's why it was cancelled.
Being a huge Joss Whedon fan, I did check out the first episode that was aired (the train robbery) and was a bit lost. That's because the actual first set-up episode was aired last. I only watched one other episode until the DVDs came out.
The cacellation is disappointing, but I'm still grateful we have a brilliant show like Firefly at all.
