WOW...my daughter and I watch the DVD everynight. I just can not believe there will be no season 2 or 3 or...great acting. Super story lines. Fun yet griping. What can we do. We need this.

Actually, what you can do is take the same steps the rest of us take, usually in this order-

Step 1 - Curse Fox. Curse them a lot.
2. - Pray that someone, anyone, picks the show back up
3. Curse Fox again
4. Give out your DVD's to others, hoping that they buy more DVD's, thus spreading the gospel (which I have done now 3 times, with 3 successes, although I havent seen my original DVD set in about two weeks, and I'm having withdrawal symptoms)
5. Write Universal, write Joss, write anyone until they make the Firefly movie
6. This is where I like to curse Fox again
7. Hope they put the series back on the air
8. Repeat (I like to repeat Steps 1,2, 3, and 6 myself)

Until then, we just keep flying with hope that someone hears everyone's voice and puts it back on the air- It's not much, but it's enough

I have to agree, Firefly is outstanding.

Being a Buffy and Angel fan I figured anything Joss was working on had to have potential, so I was looking forward to this new show. However, the timeslot wa horrible and the show was even preempted several times. I was so glad when the box set came out.

I am now getting everyone I know to at least check out a few episodes lets hope I can get more fans.

One option is to do what my bro did to get us hooked - he purchased multiple copies of Firefly DVDs and "shares" them w/friends & family...it sure worked for me and now we are trying to ration our episodes...

I just love your post on cursing FOX, which I do as a regular prayer every day. Is that blasphemous?

I too have lent out my Firefly DVD's and I'm very seriously having withdraw. I'm going to have to buy another copy for myself.

I ordered a copy on Amazon for my brother that lives in another city and after four days, it still hasn't shipped. Think maybe that's a good thing? Am I the only one wondering if it's selling well at all? Does anyone know how it's selling?

Love this board though I don't talk much on it until I'm burning with something to say. I suppose I'm a little like a Reaver in that regard. Stop when I'm hungry! OK, it's a stretch, now you see why I don't talk much on this board. Sigh!

I dont think it's blasphemy- I'm pretty sure the Fox execs are going to burn in that 'special hell'-
And I did happen to see a commercial for that Celebrity Mole show today- Why dont they just name it what it is, which is "Really Cheap Crap, But You're Going To Watch It Because We Have Killed All That Is Good And We Have Given You No Other Choices" - I mean, I know it's a long name, but I think the accuracy of it will make it easier to remember-

You now know how we all feel, and have felt since last January. At least we all have the DVD set now. There is also the hope of a movie. Joss has completed the script & Universal is looking at it.

That's a fantastic idea... everyone who can afford it, buy TWO Firefly DVD sets. One for yourself and one to loan out to people.

Unless of course you can afford to constantly buy new sets for people as gifts... then do that!!

The two sets thing might work better for most of us.

Quick aside: Scarecrow Video in Seattle has two sets of Firefly for rent and they are always checked out when I pass through!!

I gave 4 DVD sets away as gifts over the holidays, and got one for myself. The idea to buy another as a backup is not a bad idea. Wouldn't hurt to have another in case something happens to the first one.

Have been thinking along the same lines. Got one problem though.

They're sold out here. Have haunted all the book/DVD stores in the area, and ain't seen the set since before Xmas.

Not sure I feel bad about that. It means they are sold out. Granted I can't get another copy, but if they sold out that quickly, that seems like a good thing for Firefly in general.

We bought another set yesterday at a Best Buy here in St. Louis. It was a surprise for a friend of ours that was in the hospital for surgery. He loved the series when it was on, and had NO IDEA that it was out on DVD. LOL. What a great surprise it was!

Oh, and the store had somewhere around 8, 9 copies in stock.
