I think that is the defense used by the guy who pounded on our Mayer Barrett here in Milwaukee. Used a tire iron on him in the parking lot of the Wisconsin State Fair parking lot.

Our poor Mayor. He lost two teeth and a his right hand was smashed. He heard some commotion and annouced he would dial 911 on his cellphone. Do not announce you are going to dial 911. Just do it. So the guy, who was trying to grab his daughter from her grandmother, turned on him.

Apparently there is a custody issues here. Luckily the Mayer's niece had her own cell phone and every police department within ten miles started screaming to his aid. The sirens sent the guy running. He was picked up later. His lawyer claims he was off his meds. Well our police department asks people to get involved.

I was super impressed with your mayor... Seriously I mean what better proof could you have that he's a decent man with a conscience than that he came to the aid of someone he didn't know and risked his own safety and well being to help a total stranger... you guys are really lucky to have a mayor like that

Yes. He has done us proud. I think we mat lose him. Our governor is not going to run for relection and the door is open for Mayor Barrett. He has gotten some great coverage this last week. So he is thinking about it. I would rather he stay as mayor of Milwaukee, but this could be a great opportunity for him.

I don't know if that means he could not afford them or he simply was not taking them. If they go to trial, I am sure that will be brought up. I suspect a plea bargain. If they don't accept the this "off his meds" ploy, then he has no case.

Never have I been fortunate enough to see a Miyazaki movie in the theater. Yesterday we saw Ponyo on the big screen. Whenever I see one of his films I am reminded of certain emotional ties I have with people in my life. Experiencing the film on the big screen just did the same but in a more concentrated manner.
