Firefly cast appearances 2010?

was curious if anyone knew if the various members of the Firefly cast were appearing at any conventions this year. I got into firefly sort of late in the game. I recently acquired Jewel's autograph and now have the itch to meet each one and get their autograph if I can, much more meaningful than buying them of course. As I'm headed to dragon con, I have plans to for Sean and Morena but the rest of the cast seems rather absent from US conventions (midwest or east coast) If anyone knows about Ron Glass, Alan Adam Summer and Nathans appearances I would greatly appreciate the information.

Jewel, Morena and Sean will be at Dragon Con in Atlanta Sept 3-6
Sean and Morena will be at Creation in LA Nov 6-7
Adam and Morena will be at the San Diego Comic Con June 29
Jewel's going to be doing a cruise convention next year, and honestly she does a con of some kind like every other month.
Summer, Nathan, Ron and Gina I don't know about though. But I wouldn't be surprised if Nathan showed up to SDCC or Creation unless he's filming.

thanks, yeah Jewel seems the easiest to find, as she frequents quite a few conventions. I had the pleasure of meeting her and her husband this past weekend at Cyphan in Chicago. They were both wonderful. Cyphan's new and the attendance was on the low side, not so great for the event organizers (I hope they can recover for next year) but this made it possible for me and a select group of about 10 of us to have a nice chat with her, while her husband enjoyed the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game they were raffling off.

He actually entered a ton of tickets after a few drinks. Jewel asked us to cut him off. Not from the drinks, but from the tickets. lol I wonder if he won it....

But either way I have her signature and will shortly have Sean's and Morena's. Hoping to find the rest eventually. Though, in no rush I look forward to the chance of meeting each of them. However, I doubt I'll have the kind of luck again that will allow me to sit down and chat with our BDH's.

Lucky! She seems like she would be a riot I've never actually met any of them except Morena, and that was super brief. I'm forced to rely on fan reports. If you go to another con, your con report would be muchly appreciated! *hint hint, wink wink, nude nudge* :)

is there a place for Con reports? lol I'm planning to hit up Dragon Con for the first time.

Cyphan was my first con of any kind and it was a fairly modest size. I'm looking forward to it. However, like I said I highly doubt I'll get that kind of opportunity again to just spend some casual time with one of our Big Damn Heroes, that was lightening in a bottle for sure.

However it went off with such a bang compared to other parts of the con, I think the organizer would be a smart man to make that his niche, instead of making it huge, make it about the rare opportunity to just chill out with a smaller group of fans and your favorite star.... Who knows. But if you're in the midwest, definitely checkout Cyphan in the future. it's in Chicago and just googling it should get you there.

More importantly, I've thrown in lots of useful links on my entry that'll help you get familiar with the internet world of fellow con goers. Just so you know, in the past 2 years of just going to this one con, I've met Nathan, Alan, Jewel, Morena, and Ron. And HAD I gone a few years prior, could have added Summer and Adam to the list >_< Anytime you want to talk or ask questions about my experiences, please feel free and I'd be glad to respond.

I hope to attend the Creation one since it's geared specifically towards Browncoats/Whedon fans. It's probably your best bet to try to meet all the cast members. Otherwise, you just gotta keep up with various message boards, fan sites, and maybe their official Twitters.

I go for photo-ops a lot of the time. I love 'em.
Ron Glass often comes to DragonCon. Alan, Nathan, Morena and Jewel have also been there in the time I've been attending. Nathan made an unofficial appearance at ComicCon last year, and that can be a really good one for that sort of thing because of course it's in California. Summer made a quick drop-in at Starcon in Denver this year, but I haven't seen any news of her being elsewhere. She's been very busy. Adam tends to get really busy, too; he cancels convention appearances a lot. Gina doesn't really attend conventions *sad face*
That's all I have.

I would love to go to D*C unfornuately, I'm not sure I could swing it at this point. Only started planning a week or so ago (only attended my first convention of any kind about 3 weeks ago. And I don't think I have anyone to go with. Roadtrips aren't much fun by yourself.

You definitely have time to plan a successful trip. I know everyone has different circumstances, but I would highly encourage you to try to go! I gather you'd have a long journey to get there, but it lasts 5 days to be worth your while, and you can buffer in a day before and after to rest. Don't worry about going by yourself. I wasn't the first person to do it, and you won't be the last one either.

On a different note, I've been on this forum a while now and I realize we don't really have "Sticky" threads like other ones do. I thought it'd be a good topic to have a list convention/appearances from cast members that everyone could add to. I wouldn't even mind keeping up with it if others would contribute to gathering info and posting updates.

I'd really love to go to Comic Con or Dragon Con, or the Creation Salutes Firefly in November, but unfortunately, I can't. I'd really love to meet the cast, because I think they are so awesome.

I just found out that Summer Glau is coming to Toronto for a FanExpo at the end of August, so I think I will be going to that with my sister.
