It's here:

http://www.fox.com/firefly

They're supposed to have a revised site up and running soon, probably next week, after the premiere.

I wouldn't hold my breath. Fox isn't big on web sites.

I'm just curious to see what they'll come up with. After all, they have a webteam--all paid professionals.

If I had a webteam working for me, this site is gonna rock big time.

PS. did you know that all square brackets are removed as tags? Is that a side effect of the html stuff the page is doing?

Webteam? The site looks like it was put together by an intern using Microsoft Front Page!

I had heard a while back that Fox was going to do an "immersive" site with tours of the Serenity, etc. and that the existing site was just temporary until it went up. As that was a couple months ago and the site hasn't changed that much, I wonder. That being said, they have put up alot more stuff than any of the other new shows' sites... I guess they had to do something with all those X-Files and Dark Angel webbies.

There was a discussion on this site a while back -- can't seem to find it. Anyway, we talked about the QuicktimeVR things over at StarTrek.com that let you explore parts of the Enterprise X. Doing something like that for the Serenity would be bother easier and better, because the Serenity set is a complete mockup of a Firefly-class space transport. (Joss Whedon describes it as "geek heaven"!) All you need is a special camera and a few hours on the set when they're not using it, and you've got the makings of a explorable VR version of a spaceship!

But I very much doubt if Fox is even considering this. It'd be very good PR, but their notion of publicity goes to stuff like that lame poster with the glowing housefly.
