I've been playing the game for quite some time now and, like a lot of folk I'm an alt-aholoic; I can't resist the urge to make up a new character every time I come up with an idea. So after I re-watched the series over the weekend it came naturally to roll up this fellow:

One guess as to his battle cry ;)

I play on the Triumph server. I play way too much, in fact I'll go back to playing once I am done here. I made this character because I thought it would be fun. He's a natural blaster with assault rifle and devices. His pool power set is "Fitness" so it's really neat since he is just a normal guy. I have yet to get around to making up a cool bio for him. Anyway, his war cry is "I'll be in my bunk." and yes that's Vera he's holding. Oddly enough if you look at him he really does look like Jayne every now and then.

I'm only seen my husband in profile since he got that game. For my part, I like to try to replicate known characters and then never play them -- made a spot-on Nightcrawler once. How are y'all managing to get those pics of your characters? We've been dying to find that out since he first played the game.

And damn them for making trenchcoats a high-level piece of clothing!

for the screen shot you have to turn your view around by holding down the right mouse button and the page up key (yeah keep em both pressed at the same time) and keep moving the mouse to the right or left until you get in front of your character and then hit the "Print Screen" button right next to the F12 key
that's what I do :)

I play City of Heroes and love it. I am actually somewhat of a MMORPG addict. Played EverQuest for 3 years, gave Earth and Beyond, Shadowbane, Dark Age of Camelot, Horizons and Star Wars Galaxies all a short lived shot. Been playing City of Heroes since about 3 weeks after it came out and I still love it. Also playing Final Fantasy XI Online, but I actually enjoy CoH more. I have 5 characters on the Liberty server, my main being a Katana/Regen scrapper named Red Falcon. The character creation process itself is the best I have seen in any game.

Great thread! I had meant to start one, but sitting there at the computer, I decided to just play CoH.

I've met a couple browncoats in Paragon City, mostly because I cannot stop myself from asking everyone I play with, "So, anybody like Firefly?" I have met very few people who have said no. And I keep looking for fff net folk, but haven't found any of y'all either. I'll keep a better lookout or broadcast or friend y'all or something if you don't mind.

On Liberty I'm The Moonbat (tech blaster) and This Priscianist (natural controller). If you're on Liberty and need an sg, look up the Bubble Bobble Brigade and we'll see what we can do. On Triumph I'm Xin Gan (mutant tanker) and Firelike (magic scrapper).

I'm most like to be online after 7 p.m. central time as The Moonbat or Xin Gan. Would loooove to play with some of y'all.

And word about the trenchcoats. My husband made a character called "Cap'n Mal" and won't play him because he just doesn't look right.

I thought I'd pass this link along since you all might find it humerous (if you just ignore the title). It's a bunch of screen caps of one guy's creation, apparently the power of the character is the ability to spout non-sequiturs - mostly stupid, some funny. My favorite is the one about Aquaman down at the bottom.

I'm on Justice - w/ several Alts

my favorite aspect of CoH is that my husband and I can get together and play even tho he's currently in Iraq

I lean towards blasters and defenders generally. I love ice for blasters and Rad for defenders.

What does everyone else like for ATs?
