I have just spoken to Universal (again) about when the release date of Serenity is planned for the UK -- and I've been told this depends on the movie being picked up for distribution in the UK.

Now, alarm bells. However, don't panic!

I've been told, providing somebody pays for Serenity here, they want to get it out (and this is an unofficial part) around April...

Does anybody know anything about film distribution worldwide?

Excellent, thanks for this! I actually suspected UIP has the rights, but other factions of Universal near the frontline didn't seem to know.

Oh, it's all good fun.

I will speak to UIP UK about it and see what's happening, and make absolutely sure they have the rights (they should do).
