The Buffy and Angel soundtracks (and another favourite series of mine, Due South) featured some excellent music and some really great bands. As a result of looking for the artists featured on those shows my CD collection expanded and I found some great bands that I might not have otherwise listened to (Sarah McLachlan, Four Star Mary, Aimee Mann, Darling Violetta, and Laika to name just a few...)

Firefly obviously has a much more country/bluegrass feel to the music - any recommendations from fans out there for bands with a similar sound that are worth checking out?

I've already got a couple of Alison Krauss CDs which are truly excellent (including their fabulous 'Live' CD recorded at their Louisville concert in 2002 - some really great instrumentals on that).

David.

YES! Look for a band called Nickle Creek. It's really good bluegrass sound, and mostly instrumental, so you have that whole "Firefly" feeling.
