A move to Monday nights would be the best thing for FIREFLY. But at the very least, I'd like to see FIREFLY switch timeslots with JOHN DOE. Perhaps as a lead-in, JOHN DOE could bring in more viewers to FIREFLY. And FIREFLY might work better in the 9:00 hour. Leaving FIREFLY at 8 p.m. on Fridays just means a slow death. Thanks to FOX's inept scheduling, the show has no chance of surviving there now. It's only hope is to relaunch somewhere else, preferrably with the "Serenity" pilot kicking things off.

Seem like (hopefully) the rating have reached bottom now... They have been quite steady three episodes in a row now...

Now it's just the question of getting more people to watch.. :)...

If it would move timeslots at all, It would be Wednesday @9 to replace Fastlane whihc is doiing terrible now in ratings, but FOX has a full load of mid season replacemments ready so dont expect it.

John Doe is a better fit on Mondays anyway, and FOX knows it.

If you know anyone that can help my screenwriting career, please help! And yes, I am self-advertising here. Hehehe, me such a little devil.

Wednesday night might be a little tough since there are two other genre series on at 9:00, TWILIGHT ZONE and BYRDS OF PREY.

I'm pretty sure FOX will try a new timeslot. The only FOX show I can think of that only had one time slot is "Roar," a summer series that aired in 1997 on mondays @ 9 starring Heath Ledger, but it was canceled after about 12 episodes, leaving a couple unaired.

Can anyone else think of a FOX show had only one time slot?

Harsh Realm, but it only lasted 3 episodes.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, preliminary results indicate the series attracted just 7.6 million viewers and earned only a 3.8 Nielsen rating in the key demographic of adults ages 18-49.

the pilot episode cost $9 million (and it was only 1 hour).

Harsh Realm averaged 5.4 million viewers in 3.6 million homes with a 3.6 rating and 6 share during its three episode run Fridays at 9 ET /8 CT on Fox.

And the complicated stuff:

The series premiere of Chris Carter's HARSH REALM dramatically improved the time period's 1998-1999 season average among key demographics, including Adults 18-49 (+23%, 3.8/12 vs. 3.1/10), Adults 18-34(+54%, 4.0/14 vs. 2.6/10), Men 18-49 (+35%, 4.2/13 vs. 3.1/10), and Men 18-34 (+56%, 3.9/14 vs. 2.5/10). HARSH REALM achieved FOX's highest ratings in the Friday time period in almost nine months among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, and Households (since 1/22/99). The premiere of HARSH REALM won its time period among Adults 8-34. Among key male measures, HARSH REALM was second only to atypically male-skewing competition from MLB on NBC. FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54, all key male measures, and Women 18-34. FOX achieved its highest Friday night ratings among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, and Households in almost 8 months (since 2/26/99)."

HARSH REALM? HR had an interesting theme, but was pathetic in both it's acting and episode storyline. The pilot should have been the only airing of it. Only got its ratings because of Chris Carter. Man did it lay a goose egg.

I'd like to see FIREFLY on Thursdays. Friday nights, people are out because it's the weekend. Maybe put Boston Public in that slot and Firefly on Mondays.

seems to me that the best time slot for a show that fox wanted to succeed would be 8-9 on tuesday nights, right before 24. that would require a little change to have the new episode of that 70s show go from 730-8 instead of 8-830, and the dumpinf seinfeld or everyone loves ray from the lineup that day, but its all reruns anyways, so who cares... this would sandwhich a show between two popular programs, and almost guarantee some ratings... not to mention the fact that i suspect 24/firefly would share some of the same demographic.

just my $.02

Only one problem with that. If they put it tues. 8pm it would be against buffy. However much I love firefly I would always chose buffy first. actually i would prob just tape firefly (which is what i do a lot now anyway), but i bet a lot of ppl wouldn't.

Monday from 8-9 would be okay or perhaps 9-10. But not 10-11 etc., because I have to watch CSI Miami :) I'd probably still watch Firefly over CSI though, but I wouldn't want to have to =|
