Hi :)

This is TDBrown, the guy who started this whole thing. I just wanted to drop by and thank you all for jumping on board with this. We're moving on into September now, and the campaign will really be starting soon. So I thought I'd get repetitious for a moment and outline exactly what the Anniversary Job is. I think the best way to DO that is to paste the Post I have over on the OB. It's the simplest and best outline for the Job, IMO. Here goes:

Hi :)

This is a little project that I started over here in the US. It's really taken off, and we have thousands of folks who are going to participate. Thought you all might like to help.

The Anniversary Job

September 30th will mark the first Anniversary of the American Release of "Serenity". To commemorate this event, we'd like folks to do the following:

A few days prior to that date, send a letter to Universal Studios in Hollywood. Congratulate them, Thank them for making the film and include Additional comments, if you wish.
Contact info is below.

On the 30th, please do two things; Send Universal an e-mail of thanks (like the letter), and Celebrate the Anniversary by watching the Series or the movie with someone who hasn't seen it before! This can be anything from a small get-together in your Living Room to booking a Venue and showing the film for Charity. Just let others know about the Serenifly 'verse.

Hi all...longtime lurker, first time poster.

Anyway, has anyone put a mention of The Anniversary Job on the imdb.com message boards? Seems like that may be a way to get some more letters, but as I am not a regular member of fff.net, I didn't want to do it myself if the group here didn't think it was a good idea.

Also, as a n00b on this board, this may be in the wrong place and if so, I apologize, but has anyone noticed that Sean Maher is ranked #4 all-time on imdb.com's Most Successful Actors ranking: http://imdb.com/Prolific/top_actors ?

Well, I'll probably not post much but I read a lot of it, so keep up the good work and thanks for keeping it flying. Sorry if I broke etiquette with my posting.

PS. I'll be sending a couple of letters and emails and so will my wife in the next couple weeks!

PSS. I bet there are a lot of people out there like me, who are going to send letters and you'll never really know them or how many there are, but thanks to TDBrown and everyone else on this board, people like me who read this or heard it from someone, there should be a great stack of letters on Universal's desk on the 30th! Thank you TDBrown!

I wonder what the legalities would be of getting a small sized hall (like a KofC or somesuch) and showing the BDM to a larger-sized group, thereby getting the word out in a more volume-oriented manner.

Otherwise, home and apartment viewings could well be effective. I think it would help if the Browncoats involved made an effort and brought chow and drink along as an additional incentive to get the uninitiated to attend.
