The SPIKE TV network airs old Star Trek TNG, and Voyager, plus just started to air Blade: The Series.

Viacom Television Stations Group
Spike TV

Try that. Direct it to Programming Executive, or Director of Programming or something like that.

Can't hurt to try, but Spike has yet to renew Blade for a second season, despite pretty strong ratings. And I'm guessing that Firefly costs a LOT more to make than Blade.

Given the demographic make-up of Firefly fans, it may be a dead end. Spike cancelled Blade not so much because it had bad rating - the ratings were pretty good. The problem was, Blade was more popular with women. Spike isn't interested in a female audience, as they are "the network for men".

The same thing happened when they launched a couple years back. They were airing Highlander re-runs, untill they discovered that the majority of the HL fanbase was female.

Not to say there aren't plenty of male Browncoats. It's just that the fact that women do like FF may actualy be a detriment to Spike picking it up.

The network for men. What a load of *bleep*

I've watched movies on that show, and if it's target is the male demographic they're doing a lousy job editing their movie's to crap. The Shining was on today and the dubs over the cursing was so bad it was laughable. Not saying that men are more likely to swear but you'll find swearing more in action/horror movies than in any chick-flick. And the cutaway's to commercials are awful. Network for men? No, just plain network THINKING they're so smart targeting a main demographic when in reality it's like all the mainstream networks. Hell WTN (Canadian network for women) airs every word but the big one (starting with F) and shows a hella lot more that Spike cut's out. No, if FF was on Spike I think you'd find even the Chinese being dubbed (for the sake of any asian viewers out there)

I say the only viable place is the Sci-Fi channel, but I don't see that happening.

Uh, Spike is owned by Viacom, who applies their content standards to all their networks. The editing of the language has nothing to do with the demographic. It's a basic cable channel, which means there are limits to what they can show (especially here in the US, where a nipple sends half the country into hysterics).

Well, I guesse we're a little more casual here in Canada. Hell our main prime channels show The Soprano's un-edited.

Just saying no, not Spike.
