Likes to mess with stuffs.

They first came in peace. But the "visitors" of ABC's alien saga V are back, and now the show is ready to peel layers to reveal more of their scaly green skin — and their master plan.

The series, returning Tuesday (10 ET/PT) behind Lost, promises a new focus on a looming clash between Anna (Morena Baccarin), the aliens' charismatic leader, and FBI counterterrorism agent Erica Evans (Lost's Elizabeth Mitchell), whose teenage son has been seduced by the V's comforting embrace — and Anna's daughter.

Thanks a bunch, Haken. I think our Morena seems to be really good at being clever and sneeky...I hope it doesn't lose its way.

Surprisingly little chatter on that new ep...

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

If you saw Anna's little mating ritual, you might have given some thought to the implications. We already know she's a mother; that little Barbara Bain clone Lisa is her (apparently favored) daughter. Yet Anna indicates that her eggs, fertilized by the hapless studlizard, will comprise an army. This implies biological caste status. Anna, and her daughter, Lisa, are like queens in an insect hive. Yet Anna is also the brood mother-to-be of an army. Why, if someone else could do it? The army is going to likely be high-quantity, low quality (and likely all male). After all, Lisa doesn't need competition.

The thuglizards we've seen tend not to be subtle; this is what I expect from Anna's brood, aggressive, cunning killers, not cerebral thinkers like Anna. But this goes further... We know Anna exercises a kind of broadcast empathic communion with her followers; could it be that ALL the Visitors are her spawn? That would make the Fifth Columnists her rebellious children, which, in a hive society, would be considered dangerous freaks to be wiped out, even on a biological level, never mind the political.

So, what about that invasion fleet we saw in the season closer? It's clearly not coming fast enough to suit Anna, since she took it upon herself to breed an army locally. That implies a FAST maturation time for her new brood. Perhaps that is why the brutal warriors lack subtlty: The don't have time for natural acculturation, and reflect more of their biological origins as carnivorous, cannibalistic killers.

That's my take on this. Thoughts?

Hi Ray! Long time no post!
You are on to something, I think...I couldn't really make heads or tails out of it, I was just going to 'move along' and hope it got explained later, or sometime the little light in my head would go on.

Heyya, Fillygirl!

Yeah, I thought I'd walk the world a spell. Kinda quiet around these parts (and other parts).

Yea, your right all the boards I am on are slow,
I have become a fan of the show Legend of the Seeker, and I am on 2 boards for that show a lot lately. The con in Denver is next week-end(16-18 April) and I am making me a Confessor dress to wear this year. We got Summer coming to our con this year YEA! I am very glad she's gonna be visiting us,..not a big line up yet, her and Christopher Judge, Garret Wang, Gary Lockwood,...oh yes Marina Sertis too. Did you know I went to the FF con in LA last November, got a picture with Alan, Jewel and Mark Sheppard,...Jewel is funny and sweet, Alan was kinda quiet, Mark was a little rawer that I realized. I was sitting next to 2 men from Ireland and I didn't ask them what they did for a living until the last day, well they were Priest! I immediatly(sp) thought to myself when they told me that was OMG! what have I said in the last 2 days that I wouldn't have said to a priest! Anyway the autographs go by rows, so the priest were behind me to get a autograph from Mark, and Mark and them had already talked, so when they got to him again, Mark started talking real fast and his accent got bad, I could hardly understand him, except when he got to the "F" word, which to my suprise he used several times.(talking to 2 priest!) The 3 together talking were really something to hear! What have you been up to?

Oh, I forgot to tellyou, the idea of giving out DVD's like we did has made its way to the Seeker board,...I posted that we in the FF world had been doing this for a very long time and I added some suggestions. I had just come here to see if I could find the old thread, to look for more ideas.

Thanks very much Ray! Maybe you don't know Haken is working on a new board for us and I think the old threads are not available for a while, I appreciate you posting that link for me.
I did come over and join your board back whene you started as a Mod, I checked in last night and looked around a bit, I will check in again later.
Can I ask what kind of work do you want?

We'd be glad to have ya back!

Well, right now, I'm employed as a house-husband and moving stevedore. The missus and I are planning on moving by the end of the year, so even if a job was available in our area, I couldn't take it, both because I couldn't commit to it, and because I'm doing the legwork for our move. As for what kind of work, I actually enjoy helping folks. I've done years of retail work, and then supervisory work in customer service for large corporations, and, despite the stresses, found that troubleshooting a customer's issues can be very satisfying. I guess I like being the Big Damn Hero.
