Don't continue posting until you have sent off a postcard. Please! I sent mine, and my mother sent one. I've been giving them out to other people I know, but we EACH have to do our part.

Please... firefly is the happiest thing going on for me now (it's getting me through all this college application stuff!) so don't let it die.

If you claim to be a fan, it is your duty to make sure that this show survives. It doesn't have to take much time. Just write a few lines on a piece of paper and mail it. Encourage others to do the same.

PLEASE?!!

I hate writing letter. HATE. I am not using the word hate liberally here. And I just finished writing a lenghtly love letter to Fox. If I can do it, then all of you already should have. If you haven't: GUILT! YOU SHOULD HAVE GUILT!

There are (last time I counted) 39 sponsor addresses posted at www.fireflysupport.com.

Please PLEASE drop as many of them as you can a little note thanking them for sponsoring such a terrific show. Couldn't hurt to mention if you use their products as well.

Pre-stamped postcards can be picked up from any USPS office or you can print them up yourself at the Firefly Support site.

Just wanted you to know you're not alone...here's what I've done to help:
My husband and I each sent postcards to FOX and the sponsors and we’ve signed the online petition (#3287 & #3288). I’ve managed to convert my co-workers and my boss, whose family signed the petition also. I also sent out a mass e-mail to the people in my address book, pleading with them to please watch the show and let FOX know they loved it. I monitor the futon critic website, the Immediate Assistance website, the fireflyfans.net website, the official website, and online petition website all day (from work, no less!) to stay abreast of the latest news.

This show MUST be saved.

You go girl!! I have sent 3 postcards (from hubby, mom and self) to Fox and even a letter. I have not contacted the sponsors, but I guess I will contact some of them this week.

"Whatever it takes... and then some" - Fox promo for Firefly.

PS: If you go to the official site's chat room, there is another "Save Firefly" website link. Go there, vote, tell your friends, vote. I think we are being sabotaged by DA followers.

You might also want go to other scifi forums that you frequent and ask for support. Remind them that a new Firefly is on this Friday and to try FF if they haven't yet.

And yes, I sent off my postcards to FOX and 1 to all the advertisers listed. I also emailed FOX and signed the online petition. I'm very hopeful. It's a good show.

My postcards will be in tomorrow's mail. Not counting a couple of e-mails that went out right after tonights show.

Folks, if the fans of "Stargate:SG-1" could let MGM and the Sci-Fi Channel know how much they missed Michael Shanks [Dr. Daniel Jackson] and have the actor return for a 7th season after everyone said "No Way" and "Season 6 is it, that's the end", than we can make ourselves know to Fox.

You have to just *do it*. And ask you friends to watch the show and then have them *do it*. That's what a friend did for me. She asked me to just watch two episodes. And here I am, ready to fight for "Serenity".

Things to mention in your postcards:

How much you enjoyed the more recent episodes and why . Mention the show titles: "Ariel" and "War Stories".

Encourage Fox to move the show to a better timeslot. Mondays at 9 PM and Thursdays at 8 PM are already under consideration by the network, so focus on whichever of those two nights you prefer. Monday is better in my mind, because it wouldn't be up against Friends.

Encourage Fox to show reruns of the show! Reruns help! Fox can send them over to sister network FX or make a deal with the Sci Fi Channel.

Thank the advertisers for supporting the show and encourage them to stay with the show if it moves to another night and to also support reruns of the show on Fox or other networks.

Hope this helps! As you well know, everything you need is here www.fireflysupport.com.

Also, and this is important IMHO - not Fridays at 8 PM as it's against "Stargate:SG-1".

Sorry folks, but I fought long and hard to get a season 7 with both Richard Dean Anderson and Michael Shanks. Fan power brought that about. I can't see that as being good against "Firefly". Sci-Fi has invested a lot of bucks in "Stargate", money that I don't know if Fox would match for advertising. If we can keep the two seperate, than there's less chance of a 'Which do I watch?' situation.

Sorry, but the facts of finance might well be at work here. let's take them into account.
