I am not going to day that it is your "duty" to contact anyone in hopes of keeping firefly on the air. No one HAS to do anything they don't want to.

I consider FIREFLY to be my favorite television show of all time and I still was not going to actually send mail to any Tv stations. But then I realized how little work a contribution actually takes. I sent my postcards this morning urging UPN to air the show in coming seasons. If it fails then I will have lost 2 stamps and some paper. But if enough people use some stamps and send in some little postcards them just maybe our show will stay on the air and it will be beyond worth our effort.

So, I urge anyone that sees this website (I assume you are here because you are fans) to send some postcards of your own or otherwise do whatever you can to try to make sure FIREFLY stays on TV. It is very easy to help and if everyone does their small part then the rewards could be endless.

Thank you for all of your help.

thank you for saying this. I'm also a huge fan. I've never sent mail about any other show, but i sent stuff earlier, and i'm sending stuff now. Today i bought enough cardstock to make 100 postcards. i'm writing my postcards to fox, UPN, and to all of the sponsors. I'm going to give paper to people i know who like firefly but who don't know as much about what's going on. I'm willing to do something, and i hope that others are too.

i printed up a whle bunch of postcards today. I mailed 4 from my family and wrote about 10 more to the sponsors. I'm still working on 'em, but it just depends on how many i can afford to mail... hehe. I gave them out to people to fill out. A couple people gave 'em back to me... wanting me to send 'em.. *sigh* i'll do it, but i'd rather they sent them by themselves.

what have other people done?

Well, I sent 8 postcards to the addresses posted on the Firefly: Immediate Assistance website. I know it's not much... but I'm working on it.

it's better than nothing. Let's keep this thread going as a reference to what other people have done.

Anyone else doing stuff?

MERLINDREA

I am too lazy to go to the post office , but I have discovered www.amazingmail.com (somebody else mentioned it somewhere on this site). Already submitted 3, working on the other ones (site is quite slow).

But the first postcard was for free, so if you are lazy (like me) and/or short on money, send at least one from there!

By the way, there is a question I have: Is it a problem if I send 5 postcards with exactly the same text (and the same sending address)?

Merl (I love the Internet!!!)
