Likes to mess with stuffs.

MTV.COM - At this point, we've seen a lot of Chris Evans as Captain America in the World War II-era "The First Avenger," but will he sport a similar look once he's thawed out in the modern day? Apparently not, according to Evans...

America loves a winner!

Finally got around to seeing Captain America today. I figured I had better watch it before The Avengers comes out, this spring.

I was really pleased in... well, most everything. I wasn't too excited about it, going in, which is why I avoided it for so long. Something about a super hero who uses a hand gun... just never really did it for me. ( Same goes for The Phantom. )

Well, anyway, I really liked how the era was depicted, as well as the young Mr Stark, before Tony was a glimmer in the old man's eye.

And even though I liked how they showed the origins, I wasn't entirely pleased. The array of 'tokens', as I'll call them, was about as overt and shameless as it was unnecessary. Pandering, more than anything, which I thought took away from what was over all a very cleverly made flick.

Looking forward to seeing the gang all together.

"Tokens"....

By which I assume you mean the Black guy and Asian guy - both of which have been part of the Howling Commandos in the comics since the first friggin issue of Howling Comandos.

Good ol' Rappy.

Get those colored folk outta his 'Merican movie!!!

Never was up on my Cap'n America, so if they were a part of the original story line, then I wish that had been fleshed out more. To more devout fans, I can understand it didn't NEED to be done, but to others, it gave the appearance of them simply being dropped in there, for pure PC feel-goodiness. If you say that's not the case, then so be it. Just looking at it from Joe fan's perspective. Don't know why you have to make a big fuss over it.

Also, was I the only one who sees a casual resemblance between Agent Carter and Black Widow? Yeah, probably so. Oh well.

And how can Johnny Storm also be Captain America ?

Weird.
