Hey everybody!

I'm new here and I'm looking for the nearest browncoat group to me. I'm from Croatia and I'm trying to plan a screening event in my city, but I need some help from my fellow browncoats. If you haven't heard about it (but I'm sure you did) here's the link:

Hm, how did I hear about firefly? As I recall, a friend of mine was a browncoat and he introduced me into the wonderful world of Joss Whedon :D

There are a lot of us here, but unfortunately we are not organized. Hopefully, I'm gonna change that :)

You go girl! I think I just lurked here for the first year or so, heh. Kinda weird that there are probably more 'Coats in Croatia then then Southern Indiana. I look forward to hearing how it goes for you... Have you got any stategy other than posting here??

Welcome, #46637, aboard our shiny ship, still flying somehow, in spite of cross-linkage, bit-rot, and a chronic shortage of buffer panels.
The coat looks really good on you. How do they do that? Most "One size fits all" things truly do not, but these virtual coats are always perfect.
Mudder's is on the table, and you get your personal punnet of strawberries over here...
The buffet is up in the galley (mind the catwalk - - if you go too fast you may fall and die and nobody's going to clean it up) with all the hot cheese and shimmerwine you can eat. The ice-planets are on the bottom shelf of the cooler. Be adventurous in selecting your flavor!

Well, I've registered on every firefly, serenity and/or browncoat forum, as well as the official CSTS forum, and everybody's being so nice and great and helpful :D
so if my application for pre-registration is accepted, I'm sure everything is gonna be great!

Sometimes a Browncoat who wants to find other fans in a particular country will start a thread asking to hear from them specifically. Because of the nature of the software for this board it won't be on Page 1 for long unless it gets postings, but you could keep it bumped for a while and then maybe once a month or so hit it so it's back in view.

You are the first one I know of from the Croatian section of Browncoats.

Maybe you could set up a simple webpage with all the details and links to your event and CSTS. Then post a link around on any local websites you might have, especially TV related ones. Maybe even contact local radio stations/newspapers and see if they'll do a mention/article. As it is for charity you might get it for free. Just persist with it and don't take no for an answer.

I found a German Browncoat forum, which made me quite happy at first.
But then I realized how little is actually happening in there. Seems as if the German fanscene is a bit.. sluggish? Or Semi-Comatose, might be a better word.
Kind of lacks the enthusiasm I experience here.
Still, they had a CSTS Event.
Once.
2010.
*sigh*
Seems as once again, I am the last of the Mohicans... :P
