This is the part where I spark endless debate (if history is an indication) as to whether I am who I claim to be. Fair enough. I don't even know if my name will come up as 'delusions of grandeur' or some such. Anyhoo, I just talked to Tim who told me he posted so I came on to read it and I wanted to say that, yeah, i've been checking out this site since before it had any visuals -- before we were done cutting the show! It's beautiful. Intensely. Meanwhilst, Tim told it like it is. I'm in love with this show, and it's only gonna get better with Minear on board. His brain is extra-squishy.

Oh, and so you know it's really me, I of course provide the insider TV knowledge that ONLY I COULD HAVE: Some people are Canadian.

Any more doubters?

Jewel Staite is Canadian. Born in British Columbia. She was on Davinci's Inquest on CBC;
she played Dominic Davinci's daughter.

It would also appear that Nathan Fillion is from Canada. Edmonton, Alberta to be exact.

Seeing as I'm from Ottawa, Canada. I like Canadian actors in shows.

I really have to express great concern over the infiltration of the American media by these so called "Canadians".

Why is it that so many Canadians have been so successful in our country?

Is it because they're talented and speak our language similarly to the way we do (but don't think I haven't caught on to that aboot nonsense)? Or is there a more sinister reason?

What is their agenda? To entertain? Or possibly...

To increase sales of Maple Syrup and this supposed 'Canadian Bacon'?! Hmm?

Indeed...

On Canadian beer: you guys got nothin' on Corona! (Although you outdo Dominican beer by a sight.)

On Operation Leaf-Blower: no comment.

On whether Canada actually exists: Exactly my point! They pose as a nation to maintain a legitimate front, when really all they're interested in is promoting their bootleg bacon and maple syrup (which, I suspect, much like Colonel Sanders' chicken, has an addictive chemical in it that makes you crave it fortnightly, smartarse!). Also, I suspect strongly that they're attempting to Euro-fy the continental United States and Alaska with their 'clean streets' and 'pleasant demeanor'. Don't trust the Canuks! They're up to something!

On Cosmopolitans made by Canadians: As an aside, or an addendum, or both if that's possible, I wanted to bring up another element of the Canadian Conspiracy, and that is- cocktails. While in Montreal recently (on a reconnaisance mission, of course), I ordered a Cosmopolitan (a delightful cocktail involving triple sec, lime juice, a splash of cranberry, and LOTS of lemon or orange vodka), and it was utter poo poo! I'm talking bad. How does this tie in to the Canadian conspiracy? Yeah, I don't know. But my warning stands; don't order Cosmopolitans in Montreal!

In terms of the endless debate that seems to be expected, let me say that the falsity of this so-called "insider information" proves that this person is an alien or something.

No one is Canadian and north of the US border lies the land that time forgot.

Or, you know, I'm willing to settle for the Land of Oz.

But there's no Canada. What there is is a company in Montana that produces an endless supply of lumberjack red shirts every year. Every now and then, one is abandoned on the US-LTTF border to support the rumor that life exists to the north.

(Just as a matter of clarity, I love me some Canadians. It seems as though they make quirky shows that would never see the light of day down south, and their actors [especially comedians] seem just brilliant. Now back to your regularly scheduled conspiracy theorization.)

Speaking of Canadians, is there any coincidence that the explosion of Canadian success seems to correlate directly with the success of Nickelodeon, a cable network whose programming, in its inception, was

a)Mostly Canadian

and

b)geared towards the malleable minds of the nation's children?!

Could it be that shows beloved to America's youth, such as You Can't Do That On Television, Special Delivery, Turkey Television, and countless others contained subliminal messages to open young, impressionable minds to the conquest of our Northern Neighbors??

I say YES!

Don't fall for their tricks, my compatriots...

Fifteen years ago, when I first got cable, there was a lot more Canadian content than there is now. I guess they didn't have the bucks to produce their own content, and they could only run so many reruns and old movies. So they bought Canadian shows. I miss those wonky Canuck made-for-tv movies -- cheap production values, but good writing and acting.

I think we see so many Canadian actors these days because so many TV shows save money by shooting in Canada. Means more bits parts get cast north of the border. And that's a good way for an actor to get noticed.
