Likes to mess with stuffs.

Hi all,

Just wanted to apologize for this weekend when the site wasn't running as it should. I wish the problems I had here were due to heavy traffic--it wasn't.

On Friday I added another processor to the webserver thinking that it'll let the server handle the expected heavy load better, but as it turned out, the second processor was flaky and screwed up the server big time.

Since I had several engagements over the weekend (I wonder what that would be...hmmm), I wasn't able to pull out the processor till Monday morning.

The traffic was pretty heavy as expected after that and the SQL server, which was on a different server couldn't handle the load very well. It took a bit of effort, but I found a faster computer for the SQL server, which is what the FFF.NET's database is running on now. It's not a server grade computer, but in true Firefly spirit, it was good enough.

So, as of this moment, we'er in pretty good shape and the site is humming along.

For those of you who have been trying to upload images, but wasn't able to because of the bad SQL, it's been fixed. Please feel free to try again.

Much thanks to all who donated funds to the site. FFF.NET is still flying and we're good.

I was wondering what had happened, and missed the site. Glad to know what was going on and hope it doesn't happen again. This is, as far as I am concerned, THE site for Firefly/Serenity. Lots of good stuff and information,, you do a great job. Thank you.
