i see lots of chatter about summer's show and other assorted concept shows, but where's the love for Adam?!

looks like a near scifi show, and adam's done gone got all slicked up.

STOWEAWAY

It's funny but other than Firefly, Adam always seems to play a G-man (or a soldier or cop).

From what I've heard, he's a big supporter of the police and military in real life. It's something he believes in.

I plan on watching Chuck. And not because Adam's on it (though that doesn't hurt). It looks like a decently written show. I'll give it a shot.

In fact I plan to partake in the NBC total sci-fi lineup.

LETOV

I've seen the pilot episode now and loved it. I'm definitely going to be watching it. I'm just dissapointed that I think I saw it was going to be at 8, Journeyman which I have no interest in at 9, and heroes at 10. Going to have to find something else to do during that. Its also bad because it means that Chuck will be up against Monday night football which I think really hurt Heroes. Granted, Heroes appears to have done well anyway, but most of my friends didn't watch it at first because of football.

I think you have the timeline messed up. Chuck at 8pm, Heroes at 9pm, and Journeyman at 10pm (Eastern).

As i said in the other thread

http://www.fireflyfan.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=30525#537884

I saw it at San Diego Comic Con.And it was the best looking new show of this fall season.Better then Reaper and the Bionic Woman. Adam, being a versitile character actor as he is (snort snort.) won't get the credit. He isn't a main player (well he is of sorts).

But-I hope this show does well. And i love Adam so i'll be watching

Just saw the pilot on cable. If you have the on demand feature click on network shows and then pick nbc, they had pilots for Bionic Woman, Chuck, Journyman, and Life. All were really good. Wasn't expecting much from Life but an interestin cop show(second favorite under sci-fi)
Adaw did have quite a bit in the epp.

Chuck gets the best lines, of course.

I had this as my siggy for awhile: "I'm working on a long-term plan. Just have to pick a font."

I got the free dvd at Blockbuster hoping to see Bionic woman, but that show isn't on the dvd, so I watched Chuck. I had low expectations but it turned out to be a great show. It reminded me a bit of Hackers. I loved the Nerd Herd car, and the bunch of works in the store. Lots of great very nerdy catchy quotes. Adam Baldwin is great of course, my favorite scene is

Both the NBC affiliates in my area are slaughtering Chuck. I sure hope this is a local phenomenon. They keep having problems with the digital file. GRRRRRRRR

Now I am learning about scary.

Sorry, but I guess it must be regional because I saw the whole thing with no trouble.

Oh, my. I did not intend to get hooked on this show, but I did anyway. Loads of laughs! I can see myself watching this again. And again. And again...

Chuck did not disappoint. And despite some mixed reviews of Journeyman, I like it too.

Looks like I have my Monday night TV lineup set.

I liked CHUCK too, not thinking I would. It's almost ALMOST mainstream so it should find an audience, especially playing before Heroes so a fan base is already set.

It seemed just a little too hard to believe though that the NSA and the CIA would be fighting each other like that. Almost as though they were enemy spies. Anyone know, is there THAT much animosity between the two Bureaus?

The blonde did look like a Vicki Vale type, and funny she mentions on the date her last boyfriend was named Bruce. May be there are Batman fans on the writing staff.

And yes it was wonderful seeing Adam (had to keep reminding myself he wasn't Jayne, he wasn't Jayne. Well for one, he was shaven and in a suit and for another this character knows big words ) Have to say though for most of the show, I didn't like his character at all. Not that he was mean he was just so cold blooded, but by the end of it when Chuck's told to train the new guy and we see Adam in that hilariously aweful green shirt standing there smiling evilly.... big smile and swoon. I just HATE his hair cut. Really, too-much-hair.

And though Chuck's friend can be annoying GOD he's funny as hell. Everyone needs a funny nerdy sidekick. Even a funny nerd. Certainly a lot of laughs, I couldn't believe how loud the chuckles came, and though I'm not saying it's the best I've seen, since Heroe's and Eureka (of which the second season I've yet to see) it may be the only other show I tune in for. And that it's on BEFORE Heroe's.... me am just so happy.

"Don't freak out....."

Oh, and maybe, just maybe (don't wanna jinx it) Adam finally found a show that will last and give him a long continuous paycheck. Alright Adam.

Every time "Casey" pulled a gun or said something nasty, we all yelled 'BAD JAYNE! BAD JAYNE!' at him.

And since she pulled that Bruce name out of her butt, maybe she was also thinking Batman.... or wasn't the real boyfriend's name Bryce?

I thought the show was great. I'm definitely going to watch it, especially given that it's on right before Heroes, which I would have been watching anyway...

It's been my experience that the intel alphabet agencies have even more animosity between them than was portrayed, actually. There are some significant rivalries, and they all pretty much boil down to petty turf wars. It's hurt the country significantly on more than one occasion. Even after 9/11, the formation of the unified intelligence directorate, and the mandate to play nice with each other (and trust me, it wasn't going to happen any other way, regardless of what tragedy befell the nation), they still infight more than girls at a beauty pagent (or at least what I've heard about them...I don't have any first, or personal second-hand accounts about that).

CHUCK'S premiere was awesome and I love the show. So it pains me to inform all of you on this board that it will most likely be canceled.... All shows I like get canceled :( I'm not going to go through the neverending list of shows that I have caused to be 86'd. So I pre-emptivly apologize for my liking of this show and its future demise.

America loves a winner!

Nice show. Adam was great, as usual. More 'Jayne' than 'Hamilton'. Can't help but overlook the similarities to Firelfy. Chuck knows things he shouldn't know. Kinda a cross between River and John Doe.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

Oh, I believe the infighting. It's just like the infighting between branches of the armed services. They were told to play nice in the early 1980's and the infighting STILL exists.

I agree with most of what you said and in regards to Adam's character I agree with most also. I do think he really needs a haircut but those little curls are endearing.

I thoroughly enjoyed watching the "Chuck" premiere last night! I set my VCR to record it, so I hope the quality and tone of the show continues as it did from the premiere!
