America loves a winner!

Dancing Queen, I always assumed, was about a 17 yr old girl. What'd I miss ?

It is. It’s about a 17 year old girl scoping out the dancing floor for a dude. Hardly what I’d call gay. And it’s a great Hustle. Also the two lead singers are pretty hot, in a 70s disco kind of way.

In fact, not even Entertain Weekly agrees with this list:

“Now, far be it from us to pick fights with our comrades Down Under, but though we agree with many of their choices, it does seem sometimes as if more than just their toilet-bowl water spins the wrong way. Where is the Rufus Wainwright? The Scissor Sisters? The Smiths, for sparklin' out loud?? Surely, we could lose a Kylie (pictured) song or three”

Anything by Elton John and George Michael is probably gay. That much we know.

And while the band Dead or Alive is about as gay as a band can get, they appear only once on this list and their truly gay single, “I’ll Save You All My Kisses,” was left out. In stead Kylie Minogue, who is a female sex symbol for men and who is notable not gay, is somehow in the list twice.

The Dolly Parton’s song, “9 to 5,” while admittedly dumb is not gay. It’s a typical run-of-the-mill country working-man’s song.

Nihil est incertius vulgo, nihil obscurius voluntate hominum, nihil fallacius ratione tota comitiorum.

Nothing is more unpredictable than the mob, nothing more obscure than public opinion, nothing more deceptive than the whole political system.

No show tunes? This list obviously isn't very gay.

Actually, it was Electric Light Orchestra with Olivia Newton-John as guest lead vox, circa 1980.

You missed "Sing if you're glad to be gay" by the Tom Robinson Band.

(Got dragged along to a Tom Robinson concert once by some friends. Didn't sing - if anybody's bothered - did get a good evening's entertainment though).

I have to agree with you Dave. No show tunes and only one Judy Garland song. If you have spent any time with gay people you would know these are sitting in the passenger seat of their Lexus.

They don't have "I'm too sexy"? I thought for sure they'd have it.
