If I may I'd like to add to the list, The Thing, The Tingler, The Fly and anything with Vincent Price. Your input is very welcome. BOO!

I'm going to microwave a bagel and have sex with it - Peter Griffin

STAPLES

"The Last Man On Earth" with Vincent Price - NOT the crappy remake, "I Am Legend." Also the ORIGINAL "House on Haunted Hill" is brilliant (except for the last line). "Urban Legend" had a great concept, "Thirteen Ghosts" had some cool effects, and "Tamara" was very watchable (for reasons plain to see).

And you can't go wrong with anything Tim Burton (except "Planet of the Apes"...We forgive you, Tim)

But my absolute favorite horror film EVER is Takashi Miike's "Audition." It starts out as a romantic comedy and just starts getting creepier and creepier. Rent it. Now.

STORYMARK

My Halloween movie viewing started last night with the Nightmare Before Christmas 3D. Tonight, I think it'll be a double-feature of The Thing, and The Fly.

"I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

NCBROWNCOAT

Showed Micheal Jackson's Thriller video to my 19 year old daughter who had never seen it last night. She was amazed that it was so groundbreaking.

Rick Baker (and John Landis directed) did the makeup and effects on Thriller and it reminded me that I haven't see "An American Werewolf in London" in years. Rick Baker won an Oscar for the makeup in AAWIL and the movie won a Saturn for Best Horror movie and Best Makeup in 1982.

The first time I saw it I laughed, gaped at the effects and cringed at the gore, the hallmarks of a good Halloween movie.
