And get this- It was GOOD! My Son wanted to see it, so we had to drive for an hour because it's gone out of most theatres, and it definitely was worth it.
Anyone else see this little gem?

Astro Boy = Japanese take on Pinocchio, right ?

The cartooon was actually before my time, and I never thought it translated very well over time or cultures.

Yes, Chrissy, I suck. Deal w/ it.

And no, I didn't watch it, nor do I plan to - ever.

Originally, yes. The concepts of Pinocchio & A I are intertwined IMO. Astro Boy (the movie) is the update. And a good one, I think.
Give it a rental when it comes out, AU, I don't believe you'll be disappointed- at least the little kid in you won't.
